Construction Company Senior Accountant Job in Nairobi, Kenya (KES 150K)

Our client, a large Construction company is looking to fill the position of a Senior Accountant. 

The successful candidate MUST have proven track record in building and construction industry & have solid knowledge in cost accounting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monthly financial reporting to owners (Balance sheet & income statement).
• Quarterly financial reporting to lenders.
• Work with CPA at the end of the year to close out books for company tax returns, and research tax questions.
• Confirm and approve seller closing settlement sheets.
• Maintain and report monthly overhead budget vs. actual to owners.
• Maintain and report project construction costs budget vs. actual to owners.
• Manage employee payroll bi-monthly.
• Manage company workers compensation insurance & administer all reporting /audits.
• Prepare detailed construction budgets.

Qualifications:

• Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Finance.
• Must be a CPA K.
• Must have a minimum of 4 years working experience in a senior management.
• Must be willing to work in a fast paced, high pressure environment.
• Must have experience in dealing with company financial audits.
• Previous working experience in a Construction Company is an added advantage.
