The Aga Khan Hospital, Kisumu is an institution of the Aga Khan Health Service, Kenya which is an agency of the Aga Khan Development Network.

The hospital is part of a network of health facilities in East Africa which include: clinics, Aga Khan Hospital Mombasa , Aga Khan Hospital Dar es salaam and Aga Khan University Hospital Nairobi.

It provides medical care to the population of western Kenya region and works with leading clinicians in the country in the management of complex cases.

The Aga Khan Hospital, Kisumu has attained acknowledgment of its quality by achieving ISO 9001:2008 accreditation and is moving towards new standards of clinical quality improvement and patient safety.

The hospital is seeking qualified candidates for the following positions:

Theatre Manager

Overall Responsibilities

Reporting to the Nursing Director, the successful candidate will manage and control the functions in theatre to ensure smooth and efficient running of the department.

Requirements
·       Diploma in KRCHN or above.
·       Diploma in theatre nursing.
·       At least three years experience in a busy theatre facility.
·       Proficiency in Microsoft office suite and working knowledge of quality management programs.
·       Certificate in emergency care courses will be an added advantage.
·       Excellent PR and communication essential.
·       Working knowledge of Hospital Management Information System.
Catering Manager

Overall Responsibilities

Reporting to the Nursing Director, the successful candidate will be responsible for planning, organizing and presenting the food and beverage services of the hospital thereby meeting client’s expectations, hygiene standards and financial targets.

Requirements
·       Bachelor degree in hotel and hospitality management or an equivalent course with a bias in hotel management.
·       Minimum of three years experience in a busy hotel/catering facility
·       Responsible for maintaining stock levels.
·       Experience in working with Hospital Management Information System will be an added advantage
·       Good interpersonal relations, leadership and organizational skill.
Procurement Officer

Overall Responsibilities

Reporting to the Manager of Materials Management Division, the successful candidate will implement purchasing practices and maximize savings and benefits available to the hospital from purchasing activities.

Requirements
·       Diploma in procurement and supplies management from a recognized training institution.
·       At least three years experience in a hospital set up
·       Registered member of the Kenya Institute of Supplies Management.
·       Experience in working with HMIS will be an added advantage.
·       Good interpersonal relations and communication skills.
