The Procurement Officer is responsible for ensuring that all the company procurement processes are carried out in line with the Public Procurement & Disposal Act & Regulations while observing the best procurement practice
Duties and Responsibilities
· Overseeing the
procurement processes and procedures to ensure compliance with the Public
Procurement Act and Regulations
· Formulating and
implementing supplies and stores policies including effective stock control
systems
· Procuring required
goods at the most competitive and economical prices
· Ensuring timely
delivery of goods
· Conducting boarding
and disposal of unserviceable and/or other stores
· Ensuring prompt
payment of suppliers
· Maintaining updated
lists of qualified and approved Suppliers
· Participating in
annual budget preparation
· Preparing and
initiating annual procurement plans
· Supervising,
appraising staff and identifying their training and development needs
· Maintaining accurate
records
· Performing any other
duties as may be assigned from time to time
Qualifications
· A Bachelors degree in
Purchasing and/or Supplies, Economics, Commerce, or related discipline
· At least 3 years
working experience in a similar role
· Knowledge of the
Public Procurement Act and Regulations
· Proficiency in
computer applications
Assistant Procurement Officer
The Assistant Procurement Officer is responsible for procurement support.

Qualifications
· Diploma in purchasing
and supplies management

Stores Clerk
Stores Clerk will be responsible for receiving, storing and issuing supplies/materials and updating stores records
