1. Finance Officer
The Finance Officer will be based in Kakuma. The incumbent will report directly to the Area Coordinator – Kakuma.
Key Points of Communication:
Area Coordinator, Deputy Project Coordinator, Project Coordinator-Turkana and the Kakuma Senior Program Officers
Main duties and responsibilities:
· Maintenance of Cash
books, bank reconciliations, verification of physical cash & ensure safe
custody of all assets.
· Maintenance of ACCPAC
General Ledger & preparation of Finance reports to specific donors.
· To approve of monthly
payroll, reconciliation and cheques.
· Budget monitoring
& reporting to various sectors, ensuring expenditure is within the budget
lines & participating in procurement & tender committees.
Professional Qualifications/experience:
· A University degree
in Commerce/Accounting equivalent
· At least two years
working experience (NGO experience is an added advantage).
· Document knowledge of
banking, auditing, financial and internal control methodologies,
· Good computer skills
and understanding of Computer Packages.
· MS Word and Ms Excel
are a must and knowledge of ACCPAC added advantage.

2. Logistics Officer
The Logistics Officer will be based at the Dadaab Refugee Camp
Duties and responsibilities will include but are not limited to:-
· Responsible for
managing all logistical aspects of the project, ie procurement, transport and
stores based on LWF/DWS policies and guidelines.
· Responsible for
ensuring project proposals and budgets reflect logistical considerations
· Responsible for
developing and implementing procurement plans
· Coordinate effective
transport of project supplies and personnel; ensure all legal, insurance and
maintenance issues are properly addressed.
· Planning and
scheduling of transport, supervising transport staff and maintaining proper
records of vehicle maintenance and servicing
· Monitoring the use of
vehicles and ensuring adequate controls over the use and movement of LWF/DWS
vehicles
· Responsible for
warehousing management, maintaining proper assets and supplies inventory and
stock management plans.
Professional Qualifications:
· A degree in Supply
Chain/Logistics Management from a recognized university/institution. A degree
in a related discipline would also be considered.
· Fleet management
training would be an added advantage.
· Proficiency in
Computer Applications – MS Office and internet. Knowledge in Inventory Software
will be an added advantage
· Must be registered
with the Kenya Institute of Supplies Management.
Relevant Experience:
· At least 3 years of
relevant experience in a development or humanitarian programme.
· Experience within an
INGO will be an added advantage.
· Working knowledge and
understanding of humanitarian principles and standards.
· Strong analytical,
supervisory and documentation skills in transport, procurement and stores
management.
