Re now seeks to recruit and fill the following positions:-
Manager Legal
Ref

Reporting
to the Corporation Secretary and head of Legal the selected candidate will
provide legal counsel to the Corporation with the following main
responsibilities:-
- Providing
assistance to the Corporation Secretary in facilitating the smooth running
of Board meetings and those of its committees.
- Ensuring
and facilitating compliance with all legal requirements and providing
specialist advice to management and the Board.
- Undertaking
important contractual negotiations and drafting legal contracts and
agreements on behalf of the Corporation.
- Maintaining
excellent relations with various stakeholders, including the Insurance
Regulatory Authority, Capital Markets Authority, Nairobi Securities
Exchange and other relevant Government departments.
- Managing
external legal services and legal consultants especially in litigation
matters of the Corporation.
- Drafting
and implementing the Legal Division’s strategy in line with the
Corporation’s strategy.
The
Person
- Applicants
should be holders of Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) Degree, a diploma in Law from
Kenya School of Law and a Certified Public Secretary (CPS-K).
- In
addition they should have at least five years experience in Commercial Law
practice as a senior legal officer in a medium sized organization
preferably one listed on the Nairobi Securities Exchange, three of which
should have been at management level.
- A
masters degree in Law or relevant field will be an added advantage.
Assistant Manager – Human Resource

Reporting
to the Human Resource Manager the selected candidate will coordinate
implementation of HR policies and programs and will be responsible for the
following duties:-
- Assisting
in human resource planning for anticipated expansion, growth and or
changes of the Corporation’s strategy.
- Coordinating
the hiring and separation of employees, motivating and retaining the best
and most appropriate staff to help the Corporation meet its objectives and
strategies.
- Developing
and implementing HR policies including salaries, benefits, leave,
recruitment and separation and developing career progression paths.
- Managing
corporation-wide programs that address issues of culture change
management, team building, succession planning, and workforce development.
- Providing
assistance with identification of training needs and implementing training
programs.
- Assisting
managers with staff issues including counseling and conflict management.
- Developing
and maintaining accurate and relevant job descriptions for existing and
new management and staff positions and updating these and other staff
records.
- Driving
the performance appraisal process in accordance with the appraisal
guidelines.
- Enforcing
human resource initiatives, policies and procedures in the Corporation
offices.
The
Person
- Applicants
should possess a Bachelors Degree in Human Resources, Social Sciences,
Organization Design & Development or relevant fields and be holders of
a Higher National Diploma in Human Resource Management and members of the
Institute of Human Resources Management of Kenya.
- They
should have at least five years relevant working experience two of which should
be in a similar management position. In addition they should have strong
leadership and management skills and excellent interpersonal and
communication skills.
- They
should be team players,Computer literate and familiar with standard
Microsoft Office applications, have the ability to work under pressure and
meet deadlines.
Graduate French - Speaking Trainees (2)

The selected candidates will undergo a well structured graduate trainee programme in reinsurance covering underwriting and claims management.
Upon
successful completion of the trainee programme they will be assigned specific
duties in Reinsurance department focusing on both the Francophone and
Anglophone markets.
The Person
Applicants
should be Kenyan Citizens who hold Upper second class honors university degree
with specialization in French language or graduates in insurance or actuarial
sciences or relevant Business fields who are fluent in written and spoken
French.
