It invests primarily in petroleum imports and exports, bulk trading, petroleum depots, distribution and service stations.
They seek to hire a Area Sales Representative for Western Kenya Region
Duties & Responsibilities
- Achieve the Area sales and revenue targets
- Establish an environment and foundation for future sales growth.
- Direct selling activities within the Areas, including deploying resources and customer service
- Prioritizes effectively and in accordance with company objectives
- Manage the Sales Representatives including their performance, hiring and training
- Setting sales targets for individual sales representatives and your team as a whole
- Monitoring your team's performance and motivating them to reach targets
- Responsible for the Area route to market plans
- Evaluate market trends and gather competitive information, identify trends that effect current and future growth of regional sales
- Possibly dealing with some major customer accounts yourself
- Increasing business opportunities through various routes to market
- Handle special projects as assigned.
- Servicing the needs of your existing customers
- Preparing the regions annual budget and scheduling expenditures;
- Establishes sales objectives by creating a sales plan for the area
- Building and maintaining rapport with key accounts and identifying new customer opportunities.
- Recommends product lines by identifying new product opportunities,
- Surveying consumer needs and trends; tracking competitors.
- Update on the job knowledge by participating in training opportunities and maintaining personal networks.
- Regular reporting to senior managers
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales & Marketing
- Additional professional qualifications in Sales & Marketing
- Must have 3 – 4 years experience as a sales supervisor in the area
- Perfect knowledge of the environs is an added advantage
- Experience in working in an FMCG/ Petroleum/ Oil industry preferred.
- Experience in developing and maintaining business growth
- Experience in e-commerce, Market research, and product launches
- Skills in Customer care, branding, field sales, communication
- Must be self driven and able to meet deadlines
- High level of professionalism, enthusiasm, and a “can do” attitude
- Result oriented, Problem analysis and problem-solving
- Persuasiveness, innovation and judgment
- Take responsibility for the direction, control and planning of an activity
- Works with minimal supervision and stress tolerant
- Relate to others in a manner that creates a sense of teamwork and co-operation
- Maintain effective communication with colleagues, both junior and senior
