Vihiga County Government Technical Operators Jobs in Kenya

The County Government of Vihiga wishes to recruit competent and qualified candidates to fill the following vacant positions as provided under Section 44 and 63,65,66 of the County Government Act No. 17 of 2012.

Technical Operators - Job Group J (3 Posts)

Requirements for Appointment

• A Diploma in Mass Communication-Technical operations
• Experience of at least two years in the operation of broadcasting equipment
• Honest and be able to work with little supervision
• Be able to demonstrate knowledge of operation of media equipment.
• Conversant with safety regulations of broadcasting equipment.
• Demonstrate high knowledge in ICT
• Satisfy the requirements of chapter six of the constitution.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Operating of various types of broadcasting equipment.
• Maintenance and servicing of transmission equipment.
• Informing the Directors the technical needs of the radio station.
• Ensuring proper use of all the broadcast equipment at the station.
• Participate in the installation of transmission equipment.
• Keep and update the stations’ equipment inventory.

• For a candidate to meet the requirements of Chapter Six of the constitution, one MUST have the following current clearance certificates:

1. A certificate of Good Conduct from the Criminal Investigation Department (CID)
2. A clearance certificate from the Higher Education Loans Board (HELB)
3. A tax compliance certificate from Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA)
4. A certificate from the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC)
5. Clearance from any Credit Reference Bureau (CRB).
