Safety Officer

Reporting to Senior Safety & Environment Officer
Job Profile
- Monitor and promote safe work practices within all KPC workplaces and premises.
- Monitor process and safety equipment availability and safe operations.
- Safety awareness creation in all workers within KPC premises.
Key Competencies
- Knowledge and understanding of petroleum industry HSE good practices.
- Knowledge and understanding of prevailing safety regulations in the country.
- Ability to carry out and direct at least Tier I workplace incidents investigation.
- Training skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to relate KPC vision and mission to safety performance.
- Effective supervisory and leadership skills.
Personal Profile
- Minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience in safety management.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Production or Electrical Engineering.
- Registration as an expert by DOSHS or equivalent body will be an added advantage.
