Security Officer

Reporting to Senior Security Officer
Job Profile
- Responsible to the Senior Security Officer for administration welfare, discipline and supervision of supervisors, hired security guards and attached police officers.
- Responsible for deployment of security supervision under him through shift roster.
- Ensuring effective use of gate passes and visitors passes in his area of jurisdiction.
- Investigation of all cases and incidents that occur at his/her station.
- Responsible for sealing, unsealing or resealing of valves at the tank farms, gates, block chambers on ROW in his/her area of responsibility.
- Responsible for carrying out day and night patrols/checks at the station and ROW within his/her area of jurisdiction and report as necessary.
- Responsible for intelligence collection.
- Arrange leave roster for staff under him/her.
- Carry out any other duties as delegated by the Senior Security Officer.
Key Competencies
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills and ability to give written and oral instructions to security personnel as well as write reports must be able to work long hours including early mornings, evenings, week-ends and holidays.
- Must be able to work long hours including early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.
- Ability to work under own initiative and also as part of a team.
- Flexibility and responsiveness in handling and determining security related issues.
- Demonstrate professional approach and appearance including enthusiasm, drive, commitment, honesty, trust and loyalty.
- Ability to maintain professional status and keep abreast of evolving trends through continuing professional education, especially in the area of security.
- Ability to empower security staff through coaching and counseling by emphasizing accountability and result oriented management rather than direct supervision.
Person Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field from a recognized university.
- Minimum three (3) years relevant experience.
