Security Supervisor

Reporting to the Security Officer
 

Job Profile

• Responsible to the security officer for administration welfare and supervision of KPC hired guards under him/her.
• Liaison with the station controllers and the attached police officers on all security matters appertaining to the security of the oil pipeline.
• Carry out any other duties as may be assigned by the security officer.

Key Competencies

• Effective communication and interpersonal skills and ability to give written and oral instructions to security personnel as well as write reports.
• Must be able to work long hours including early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Ability to work under own initiative and also as part of a team.
• Flexibility and responsiveness in handling and determining security related issues.
• Demonstrate professional approach and appearance including enthusiasm, drive, commitment, honesty, trust and loyalty.
• Ability to maintain professional status and keep abreast of evolving trends through continuing professional education, especially in the area of security.
• Ability to empower security staff through coaching and counseling by emphasizing accountability and result oriented management rather than direct supervision.

Person Profile

• Minimum three (3) years relevant experience.
• Served in the disciplined forces for at least six (6) years and at the rank of Sergeant or KPC for at least ten (10) years.
