An insurance brokerage firm is looking to recruit an Underwriting Manager.
Reporting To: General Manager
Overall Job Purpose: Responsible for determining if claimant or applicant is eligible for insurance coverage.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Negotiate and create underwriting agreements
- Analyze insurance applications.
- Work with appraisers to determine value of items.
- Determine proper premiums and policy terms and conditions.
- Coordinate with internal functions to ensure all deliverables are met consistently within the promised time line
Key Performance Indicators
- Average cost per claim
- Customer satisfaction
- Claims ratio
- Average time to settle a claim
- Effectiveness at meeting sales targets
Qualifications
- Holding professional qualification from Insurance Institute of repute like Chartered Insurance Institute, UK etc will be an added advantage.
- Bachelor’s Degree in a Business related field.
- Fully AIIK/ACII or equivalent qualified.
- Minimum of 5 years experience in the Insurance Industry.
