Expression of Interest (EOI) For Provision of Consultancy Services for Preparation of National Cereals and Produce Board Five Year Strategic Plan - 2014/15 to 2018/19

National Cereals and Produce Board (NCPB) is a State Corporation established under an Act of Parliament Cap.338 of the Laws of Kenya. 

Its mandate includes commercial trading in a wide range of cereals, pulses and farm inputs, government agency on Strategic Grain Reserves and Famine Relief and the provision of grain handling services.
 

A) Objective
 

The NCPB has been restructured and hence the need for a new Strategic Plan to enable the organization realign its operations and compete with other commercial players while also providing support services for the government’s social functions on agency basis.
 

B) Scope/Deliverables
 

The scope of the assignment that is expected to be completed within a strict deadline shall include developing a five-year strategic plan (2014/2015 to 2018/2019) that will provide a strategic guidance for the achievement of the Board’s mandate.
 

The NCPB therefore invites qualified and experienced consultants to express their interests for the above mentioned assignment. 

The prospective consultants shall be expected to provide the following documents for consideration:-
 

1. Consultant’s profile to include, Names of partners / shareholding information (where necessary), Registered Physical Address if any and consultancy areas/subject of specialization.
 

2. A comprehensive disclosure of qualifications, competence and CV’s of key staff for the consultancy, with clear indication of the role(s) the employees may be engaged to play in the consultancy in the event that you will be engaged to provide the consultancy services.
 

3. Description of at least five (5) similar assignments executed in the last five (5) years to include the contract value, period of engagement, objective and attained results.
 

4. Certified copy of PIN and or VAT registration (where necessary) and a current tax compliance certificate issued by the Kenya Revenue Authority.

Shortlisted consultants will thereafter be issued with Request For Proposals (RFP) with Terms of Reference to enable them to quote.
 

The completed EOI documents should be submitted in a plain sealed envelope clearly marked in Bold Letters: EOI:NCPB/CSFSP/01/2014-2015 addressed to;

And physically deposited in the tender box situated in the Nyumba Ya Nafaka, Ground Floor, by the Reception Area, so as to be received on or before Monday, 06th October, 2014 at 12.00 noon

EOI shall be opened soon thereafter in the NCPB Boardroom 1st Floor Room 104 in the presence of interested

Consultants or their representatives who wish to attend.

Late tenders shall be rejected and returned un-opened.

Bidders are cautioned that any form of canvassing will lead to automatic disqualification.
