Software Development Opportunity at IBTCI: International Business and Technical Consultants Inc. (IBTCI), an international development firm based in the Washington D.C. area, is seeking amobile data collection organization with significant skills and experience in developing software applications for mobile data collection and reporting.

The firm will be responsible for delivering the following solutions and services:

1) A secure, 3-tier web application – accessible over the web to obtain data in real-time from the field via mobile devices (that includes multimedia files and GIS data) to a centralized database.

2) Implementation of dynamic as well as static forms which can be used to collect information from the field.

3) Role-based users, utilizing a workflow for tasks due to reporting demands that are both sensitive and time-bound.

4) Integration of data to a centralized Clearing House database for reporting purposes.

5) Reporting functionality that incorporates charts, tables and GIS reporting capability for further analyses. There should be an allowance for preconfigured as well as adhoc reports.

6) Triggered alerts notifications
 

7) Knowledge transfer activities to technical and non-technical staff of the project.

Requirements and selection criteria:

1. The organization must demonstrate extensive relevant technical experience in developing similar applications.
2. Ability to develop and deliver high quality products and services within very tight deadlines
3. Willingness to travel to Somalia and provide on the ground technical support to monitoring and verification teams
