Purpose of the Job:

Overall responsibility for the development and execution of all sales activities for the company in the East African market.

The successful applicant will direct a sales team and provide leadership towards the achievement of sales targets for the company’s products.

She/he will be part of the leadership team that drives the company’s growth strategy and associated strategic objectives.

Job Description Summary:
·       Lead the development of the regional sales plan in conjunction with the leadership team;
·       Drive the creation of revenue forecasts for products within the company’s portfolio;
·       Drive Sales Executives in the development of solid sales pipelines;
·       Track prospects and opportunities through the sales pipeline into closure;
·       Develop a sales strategy for the market ensuring attainment of company sales revenue and profitability goals.
·       Responsible for coaching, developing and managing performance of direct reports (Sales Executives and Technical Sales Specialists)
·       Participate with leadership team in the development of action plans for sales team and partner departments;
·       Initiate and coordinate development of action plans to penetrate new markets, cross-sell and up-sell to current & past clients;
·       Provide timely feedback to Managing Director and Product General Managers on Sales Performance;
·       Maintain accurate records of all monthly sales data relating to overall products and individual sales executives (reports, pipeline, leads, performance appraisal tools etc);
·       Drive the process of proposal & presentation development with Technical Sales Specialists;
·       Control expenses to meet budget guidelines;
·       Adhere to company policies, procedures and business ethics and ensure that they are communicated and implemented within the team.
·       Participate in the recruitment and hiring of Sales Executives and Technical Sales Specialists based on criteria agreed upon by leadership team.
Qualifications:
·       Proven ability of leadership and capability to drive sales teams;
·       Proven experience in Technology Solution Selling;
·       Knowledge of East African Technology industry, Sales and Market dynamics;
·       At least 8 years, technology related sales experience, of which at least 2 years must be in sales management.
·       Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, and thrive in a fast-paced, deadline oriented environment;
·       Confident, self starter with excellent time management and exceptional people skills;
·       Interpersonal skills to work closely with other teams;
·       Exceptional communication skills.
·       Education: An Undergraduate Degree is Compulsory
