The IRC implements programs in the areas of comprehensive primary health care, nutrition, protection, peace building, sanitation and hygiene and HIV/AIDS and prevention and response to gender based violence issues.
Adolescent Girls Officer (Hagadera)
The Adolescent Girls Officer, as a team member of the IRC’s Gender-Based Violence (GBV) Program, will work closely with the GBV Program Manager and Adolescent girls’ consultant to design and implement an intervention aimed at adolescent girls in Hagadera.
The Adolescent Girls Officer will monitor the implementation of activities for girls, including the selection of mentors for young girls; the initial training of these mentors, in collaboration with the adolescent girl’s consultant; and the continued strengthening of the mentors’ capacity.
The Adolescent Girls Officer will collaborate with the mentors to select the girls who will be beneficiaries of the intervention.
He/she will work with the mentors to plan activities for the beneficiaries and will work closely with the GBV Manager to ensure program quality and adherence to international standards and the IRC strategy for work with adolescent girls.
The Adolescent Girls Officer will also supervise the monitoring, evaluation and preparation of reports on activities implemented.
He/she will undertake logistical tasks necessary for the program’s functioning.
He/she will also work closely with the GBV Community Workers, GBV Community Mobilization Officer and GBV Psychosocial staff and will be supervised by the GBV Program Manager.
