The Client intends to expand its market share in the Retirement Benefits Industry by way of recruiting more members into any of its schemes.
The client operates two distinct retirement benefits schemes which are a Defined Benefits Pension Scheme (DB) and a Defined Contribution scheme (DC).
2.0 The Objective of the EOI
To hire Sales & Marketing Agency(ies) to reach specific target areas before eventually covering all corners of the country.
The objective is to ensure a greater market presence and recruitment of more members as well as instant resolution of member concerns at source.
This will also reduce the number of visits that members need to make to Nairobi to make enquiries and thereby reducing cost of doing business.
3.0 Invitation to EOI
Our Client therefore invites qualified and capable Sales & Marketing Agencies to express their interest in undertaking the above assignment.
Firms which will be shortlisted will then be required to purchase EOI document which will be available with the Client upon payment of a non refundable fee of Kshs. 3,500.00 (Kenya Shillings, Three Thousand, Five Hundred only) during normal working hours. The details of the Client will be divulged to shortlisted firms.
EOI Documents completed as per instructions indicating the EOI Number DNA/1053/SALES & MARKETING AGENCIES/2011/08 and addressed as indicated below should be deposited with the Nation Media Group, Nation House, by 11.00 am on 26th August 2011.

4.0 Statement of Capabilities - Minimum Requirements for interested Bidders.
Minimum requirements to be considered for short-listing are;
a) Must be a Corporate Firm(s) in Sales & Marketing Agency Industry.
b) Must have PIN and Tax Compliance Certificates.
c) Must have over five years experience in the Industry.
d) Must provide proof of ability to recruit new members into the Schemes.
e) Must show proof of ability to recruit new Sponsors.
f) Should provide reference letters from at least three Corporate Clients they have offered similar services to in the recent past. References from clients in the Financial/Insurance Industry will be an added advantage.
g) Be financially sound - Provide a letter of recommendation from your Banker(s) and current bank statement.
h) Be ready to be paid on commission basis for new members and sponsors recruited at a quoted/negotiated rate.
i) The firm should be able to recruit around eighty young energetic and capable persons aged between 23 and 28 years who have some skills in marketing, sales, public relations or equivalent qualifications to act as sales agents to the Client. The Client will train the sales staff on what they will be required to do and induct the Agency appropriately.
j) The firm shall bear the cost of retainer wages of the sales staff and transport & accommodation charges to various destinations of the areas assigned to them and be reimbursed agreed costs on actual/upon delivery of the service.
k) The successful Sales & Marketing Agency(ies) will be hired for an initial six months from the date of contract and this will be on renewal basis based on performance.
