Job Location: Nairobi

leading FMCG Company focusing on personal care products is looking for a Category Manager to drive the growth of perfume products market share.

Reporting to the Marketing Manager, the successful candidate’s key role will be leading the development and implementation of Brand plans and programs to achieve the brand objectives and targets.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Developing and implementing the annual brand plans to achieve innovation, activation and marketing objectives
• Developing activities that will enhance brand portfolio and growth of the market share
• Developing brand activities that will build brand equity through ensuring visibility, brand awareness and brand loyalty
• Preparation and management of the brand support budget in line with the brand plans
• Supporting and working with the Marketing Manager in development of advertising/communication materials for market activation for the brand
• Leading in actualizing the brands at the point of purchase through preparation of the brand promotional plans
• Developing, executing and monitoring the brand launch/re-launch plans
• Identifying, implementing and benchmarking for best practices in brand management
• Developing, training, motivating and evaluating Consumers on products knowledge.

Job Qualifications and experience

• Bachelor of Commerce/Marketing or any business related course
• Post-Graduation qualification in Marketing is desirable
• Outstanding business Acumen/Enterprise
• Outstanding industry understanding, specifically (FMCG)
• Brand communication and Media management
• Leveraging best marketing management practices
• Outstanding Project Management, negotiation and presentation skills
