Background / Summary: Catholic Relief Services (CRS) is an international non-governmental organization supporting relief and development work in over 99 countries around the world.
CRS programs assist persons on the basis of need, regardless of creed, ethnicity or nationality and works through local church and non-church partners to implement its programs.

S/he will work with IPS, Consortium members and through and with GOK structures at national, county, district and community levels to deliver on USAID/Kenya Strategic Goal for health: “Sustained improvement of health and well-being for all Kenyans”.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Developing strategies that would promote an integrated approach so as to address social determinants of health for the target groups.
- Build the capacity of IPs to enable them support and link the target groups to viable economic strengthening activities.
- Mentor and transfer skills to IP’s and the target groups to promote good health and nutrition
- Support initiatives that lead to increased access to education, life skills and literacy for improved health for the target groups.
- Provide leadership to mobilize multi-sectoral coordination (justice, health, social services) to reduce gender based violence and child maltreatment.
- Work with relevant stakeholders to ensure strengthened health and social services systems to support the targets.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Requirement
- A university degree in Sociology, Anthropology, Nursing, Public Health or other relevant area of study
- Have solid working knowledge (practical skills) in the following areas: OVC, CPWP, VCT, HTC, Counseling, ART and dealing with social determinants of health.
- 3-5 year years’ experience in dealing with a multifaceted and integrated OVC, CPWP and HIV/AIDS projects, preferably in an NGO setting.
- Experience in implementing US Government-funded projects.
- Ability to transfer skills and knowledge through, training, mentorship and accompaniment
- Excellent written and oral communication and computer skills (Microsoft Office Programs).
- Demonstrated ability foster integration in programming approach
- Excellent understanding of GOK, USAID and CRS operating procedures
- A professional with high personal integrity, commitment and good stewardship of resources
- Sensitive and able to empathize and cope with people from diverse backgrounds
