About: Spez Limited offers Outside Catering for corporate and private functions and through its subsidiary company (The Missing Slice) it specializes in the design and creation of unique and delicious cakes and pastries for all occasions.
This position reports to the Managing Director and has responsibility for assisting with the many facets of the Sales and Marketing effort including supporting sales goals, developing and extending various marketing programs, and proposal preparation.
The Sales and Marketing executive will aim to maximize profits through the development of sales strategies that match customer requirements.
The job will entail marketing as many of Spez and The Missing Slice products as possible as well as developing and maintaining a good relationship with clients.
Job Description
As part of the Sales and Marketing team your primary duties will include:
- Develop new business opportunities to meet trends
- Help develop and implement strategic sales plans
- Facilitate client requirements – both in person and/or remotely using current online applications
- Develop market analysis to identify customer needs, price schedules, and discount rates
- Stay current with client needs, competition, and industry trends
- Deliver sales presentations/proposals to prospective clients with a successful closing rate
- Develop and manage client and agency relationships
- Manage projects to make sure that they get completed in a timely manner
- Responsible for assisting with sales/marketing and advertising campaigns
- Maintain active participation and membership in networking organizations
- Visit potential customers for new business
- Provide customers with quotations
Qualifications and Experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated experience working in sales or marketing team environment
- Strong organizational and follow-up skills
- Above average desktop computer skills with experience in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Possess basic understanding of the internet and online marketing
- Bachelor’s Degree preferably in Business Management or Marketing and one year experience in sales, marketing, and/or business development.
- Relevant paid or voluntary work experience will be beneficial. For example, experience gained in any commercial area which required contact with customers or the general public.
