Graduate Quantity Surveyor
Location: Nairobi
Our client in the Building and Construction Industry is seeking a motivated, self-driven and results oriented individual to join its team.
Job Summary: The successful candidate will liaise with the Project Officer in site management, site workers supervision and forecasting costs of carrying out construction projects
- Preparation of contracts, including details regarding quantities of required materials, Bill of Quantities and Material schedules
- Conduct on-going cost analysis of maintenance and repair work
- Analysing completed work and arranging payment to contractors and suppliers and allocate upcoming work to contractors
- Preparation of valuation for payment certification
- The incumbent will conduct site visits, assessments, projections for future work and seek funding sources and submitting bids
- Carrying out feasibility studies and performing risk analysis evaluations
- Carry out cost control, write reports and prepare and submit final accounts
- Providing advice and forecasts about all costs
- Supervising and training future professionals.
Qualifications, Experience and Competencies:
- A University Degree in Quantity Surveying or a closely related field
- Advanced technical education in Construction is an added advantage
- Must have an affiliation with recognized professional bodies in Construction and Quantity Survey in Kenya
- 1 year working experience in quantity surveying
- Able to work within very strict deadlines
- Must have excellent organizational, planning and communication skills
- Must be a quick thinker and have excellent analytical skills.
