Accounts Receivables Officer Job in Kenya

We are in the business of corporate branding and is committed to the provision of superior quality brands and corporate advertising merchandise for the East African market is seeking to recruit for the position of Accounts Receivables Officer.

The holder of this position will report directly to the Financial Accountant

Overall purpose of the role: To collect debts owed to the company.

Duties and Responsibilities

• To co-ordinate debt collection and update other staff on debt collection status
• Responsible for initiating calls to customers to collect payments and settle accounts,
• Obtain payments, commitment agreements or establish a repayment plan
• Check on the non-performing debts and communicate to the client
• Dispatch of invoices
• Maintenance of the Accounts Receivables filing system
• Knowledge of Quick Books or the Sage accounting software, (provide certificates)
• Any other duty other duties assigned  by management

Minimum Qualifications

• At least 2 years’ experience as a Accounts Receivable employee
• A minimum of a CPA 2 or Bachelor of Commerce Degree

Competencies

• Ability to follow set policies and procedures when determining a suitable collection solution
• Knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices and procedures within a particular field
• Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills
