Impact Research and Development Organization (IRDO) is a registered Kenyan Non- Governmental Organization with a main office in Kisumu and regional offices in Siaya, Kisumu, Migori, Busia, Uasin Gishu, Homabay, Turkana, and West Pokot counties.
IRDO’s principal mandate is to design, implement and evaluate HIV/AIDS research and intervention programs that improve the health status of individuals and local communities.
We are looking for qualified and experienced personnel to fill in the following position from April 2014.

Location: Kisumu with frequent travels to seven sub-counties
Key Responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities:
- Designing appropriate activities that would promote treatment and care uptake among people living with HIV
- Ability to coordinate with the MOH staff and other relevant implementing partners
- Ensure that monthly follow ups are done and the people referred are linked to care.
- Planning for implementation of CPwP activities and report periodically on the achievements against targets.
- Work and financial planning including monthly work plans, requisitions and reports.
- Monitoring the progress of PHDP implementation and report on progress and any project deviation to the Programs Manager
- Ensure that project funds are used according to the budget and that reimbursements of program related expenses are done promptly and efficiently.
- Prepare and submit progress reports on monthly, quarterly, semi-annual and annual basis.
- Ensure that correct information about the program is relayed to the community
- Custodian of project beneficiary information, files and folders at all levels
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Social/Behavioural Sciences, Education, Community Health and any other related fields. Holders of Masters degree have an added advantage.
- At least 3 years experience with the implementation of PwP Interventions
- Possess and demonstrate excellent training and group facilitation skills.
- Good understanding of public health issues particularly HIV/AIDS.
- Good computer skills, particularly MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Possess good report writing and communication skills; and excellent documentation skills
- Able to work independently and as part of a Team
- Able to work within deadlines with minimum supervision; and work odd hours; and attention to minute details
- Those living positively with HIV and have disclosed status have an added advantage though it is not mandatory for short-listing and selection.
