Insurance Officer Job in Kwale Kenya

Position: Insurance Officer 
 

Duty Station: Kwale
 

Main Responsibilities

• Analyze claims and decide whether they are covered by the policies
• Document and report all claims within reasonable time
• Manage Work injury claims
• Generate monthly reports on all claims
• Ensure that all assets are sufficiently covered and maintain a current record of all policies
• Advise on measures to prevent or mitigate losses
• Collaborate with other departments in promoting risk management goals and assessing risk in order to develop practical solutions to problems.
• Assist the appointed investigators/assessors/loss adjusters in their various capacities to verify the circumstances of loss/damage/injury and make their recommendation to the insurance company

Qualifications

• Minimum of Diploma in Insurance (ACII or AIIK)
• Bachelor of Commerce in Insurance/Business related degree
• At least 2 years experience in the management of motor and non-motor claims in the insurance industry

Skills and Knowledge;

• Basic Underwriting skills
• Knowledge of the insurance industry practices
• Understand the risks involved in different occupations
• Understanding of key laws and rules guiding insurance regulation; OSHA, WIBA etc
• Excellent negotiation skills
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft office
