Vacancy: Travel Consultant Intern
 

Role Purpose: Revenue Generation

Key Responsibilities

• Develop competitive travel packages for the Rupu travel platform.
• Sign and negotiate for competitive rates and offer from suppliers (transport and accommodation).
• Develop custom made travel packages upon client’s request.
• Respond to customers queries, supply information and advice clients on appropriate travel destination
• Converse with customer to determine destination, mode of transportation, travel dates, financial considerations, and accommodations required.
• Compute cost of travel and accommodations.
• Plan, describe, arrange, and sell itinerary tour packages and promotional travel incentives offered by various travel carriers.
• Provide customer with brochures and publications containing travel information, such as local customs, points of interest, or foreign country regulations.
• Market analysis. Carry out analysis of the competition and current market trends.
• Working to sales target by lead follow ups, and up selling to clients.

Person Specification

• A Bachelor’s degree in Tourism Management .
• A minimum of 1 year proven experience in the tourism industry.
• Computer literacy in MS Office and email required, including internet proficiency.
• Must be a graduate
