Our technology platform takes large data projects for leading enterprise clients like LinkedIn and Google, and breaks them into smaller tasks called “microwork” which are completed by our workers.

Overview: Samasource is launching its first owned and operated impact sourcing center and is seeking a seasoned IT Network Engineer. This person will be involved in all stages of IT set-up and implementation for the facility launch – from determining IT requirements and designing system configuration to overseeing infrastructure installation, establishing and enforcing security policies, and ensuring continuity of systems.

The ideal candidate has previous experience in setting-up business process outsourcing (BPO) or ICT centers, including proficiency in network requirements, server set-up, LAN/WAN and security, network power systems, hardware requirements, and vendor management.

Responsibilities:

• Establish networking environment, including designing system configuration, directing system installation, and defining and enforcing system standards, in compliance with international standards
• Determine bill of quantities and build detailed cost estimates.
• Coordinate with project manager on facility launch timeline, budget, and set-up
• Design and implement resilient system that enables uninterrupted workflow
• Identify and contract with essential vendors and procure and manage network installation
• Maximize network performance by monitoring efficiency, troubleshooting network problems and outages, scheduling upgrades
• Undertake data network fault investigations
• Secure network system by establishing and enforcing policies, and defining and monitoring access
• Support and administer Cisco firewall environments in-line with IT security policy.
• Provide regular reports of network operational status.
• Upgrade data network equipment to latest stable firmware releases
• Configure routing and switching equipment and hosted IP voice services.
• Manage capacity and audit of IP addressing and hosted devices .

Desired Skills and Experience:

• BA/BSc in Engineering, IT or related field.
• 7+ years of network design, implementation and administration
• Experience in BPO or ICT facilities network set-up and administration
• Knowledge in ISO standards and its application to network security and set-up. ITIL Certification will be added advantage
• Proficiency in CISCO systems(CCNA & CCNP Certifications)
• In-depth knowledge of LAN/WAN support and engineering design for voice, data and video networks.
• Strong knowledge of security concepts and ability to apply these concepts into practice in a BPO network environment.
• Excellent design integration, root cause analysis, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
• Demonstrated ability to diagnose and resolve routing issues, congestion problems, and hardware and software failures
• In-depth knowledge of server, networking, storage, data center infrastructures and general application architecture (multi-tier architectures)
• Superior knowledge, skills and experience with routing hardware, software, and protocols.
