They seek to hire a dynamic individual to fill the role of an operations manager, to lead the Kenya operations team and work closely with the country manager.
Job Purpose: To provide leadership and guidance to the operations team and offer support to the country manager, to build Kenya’s best travel agency.

This is a highly challenging role offering a flat structured working environment, with vast opportunities to drive the growth of new business coupled with international exposure for growth.
- Overall leadership, supervision and provision of guidance to Operations team, which encompasses Call Centre, Customer Service and Telesales functions, so as to ensure that overall company objectives are met
- Advocating excellent customer service and leading by example
- Monitoring and enhancing team performance; provide individual coaching & support
- Ensuring correct use of company systems
- Implementation and tracking of standardized operations processes and procedures, and error minimization.
- Setting and measurement of KPIs and objectives for each team member.
- Continuous training of teams to ensure that team members meet performance standards as set out in their KPIs.
- Quality assurance of the team to ensure that company standards are continually met
- Introducing and implementing best practice in Operations.
- Continual testing of company's website to ensure its proper functioning.
- Managing pricing and fares comparison procedures.
- Clear and concise communication to managers on all requested processes and feedback, and all pertinent issues that managers should be aware of.
- Other duties consistent and within the scope of the position.
Skills and Requirements
- 5 to 7 years’ experience with a travel agency.
- At least 2 years in a Team leadership position overseeing a team.
- At least 1 year advanced Amadeus knowledge including experience with reissues, refunds and ticketing.
- At least 2 years Galileo working experience in reissues, refunds and ticketing is also preferred.
- BSP Link experience preferable.
- Microsoft Office packages (Excel, Word)
- Excellent communication skills and languages essential: Fluent English and Swahili (written and verbal).
- Ownership over your job and taking full responsibility for your role

- Ability to manage, motivate and lead a team
- Hands on ‘do-er’ with an execution mentality
- Goal orientated and target driven; self-motivated
