A leading Provider of cutting edge IT Training Programs is looking for two Corporate Sales Executive. This role will suit a commercially aware, confident, articulate personality with a customer focussed business outlook and outstanding communication skills.

Candidates with an IT background and a good track record in sales preferred.

The key responsibilities for this position include;
·       Building relationships with corporate clients while collaborating with sales colleagues to maximise revenue opportunities and grow future business.
·       Selling Training Solutions to corporate clients
·       Developing innovative ideas and sales strategies to meet client’s objectives.
·       Developing and sending proposals, pricing and contracts.
·       Take ownership of the entire sales process while ensuring targets are met.
·       Specific market/ sales research and market intelligence
Qualifications and Experience
·       Graduate Degree/ Diploma
·       2+ years sales experience in ICT Training
·       Strong understanding of the Kenyan Market
·       Excellent communication and presentation skills.
·       Self motivated.
·       Smart and professional

Reporting to the Works Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

Tasks, Duties and Responsibilities
  • Co-ordinating and following on all aspects of electrical, instrumentation, civil and mechanical engineering, with an aim of maximising availability of baker’s yeast and alcohol at the most economical cost.
  • Liaise and co-ordinate with the Heads of Sections of Electrical, instrument, civil and mechanical Engineering on the day to day running of the department.
  • Advise the Resident Director on changes in engineering and additional equipment which may be necessary for optimisation of production of baker’s yeast and alcohol.
  • Ensure that proper equipment and machinery availability and utilisation are achieved.
  • Ensure that proper maintenance schedules are effected to improve on plant and equipment availability and efficiency.
  • Prepare detailed maintenance capital budgets for the department and all on-going projects.
  • Ensure that expenditure in the department is controlled and remain within agreed budgets.
  • Authorise and approve the purchase of materials, chemicals, and spare parts in the electrical, instruments, civil and mechanical sections needed for efficient production of baker’s yeast and alcohol
  • Plan for modifications, upgrading, rehabilitation and improvement in the plant as necessary.
  • Follow correctness and timely production of all quality control reports and ensure proper dispatch and distribution of reports as necessary.
  • Ensure that all safety regulations are put in place and adhered to and that environmental control is effected and observed.
  • Provide technical leadership to multidisciplinary teams to enable them develop, implement and evaluate strategic management plans and budgets aimed at improving performance standards and organisational effectiveness.
  • Participate in the recruitment and selection of staff in order to ensure that the candidates selected have the required job competencies and are provided with orientation and induction programme necessary for effective job performance.
  • Review incidents of violations against organisational policy and regulations as well as handle employee disputes and take appropriate action in line with approved policies, procedures and regulations.
  • Conduct training needs assessment, design and implement training programmes aimed at equipping staff with appropriate job competencies in order to improve the design and delivery of high quality services.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Membership to a relevant professional body such as the Engineers Registration Board or Institute of Engineers of Kenya
  • Minimum ten (10) years experience gained in a senior position in a food manufacturing.
Key Competencies
  • Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of food manufacturing
  • Strong well developed written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills including ability to prepare relevant reports.
  • Flexibility and responsiveness in handling and determining operations and engineering issues , sound analytical skills and the ability to identify with precision the critical factors of a problem in an impartial and objective way.
  • Demonstrated ability to deal patiently with people from diverse backgrounds and to develop practical solutions to problems
  • Ability to maintain professional status and keep abreast of evolving trends in engineering through continuing professional development.
  • Proficiency in computer applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Outlook express including statistical packages.
  • Ability to establish flexible multidisciplinary teams in an environment conducive to continuous learning, creativity and innovation.
  • Demonstrate technical expertise in risk management, quality assurance as well as monitoring and evaluation.
  • Ability to empower staff through coaching and counselling by emphasizing accountability and results oriented management rather than direct supervision.
