Main Responsibilities:
  • To ensure effective sales coverage of all existing and potential Machine/genset customers within the region and submit regular reports accordingly.
  • To ensure effective after sales product support in liaison with service dept.
  • To follow up on outstanding customer debts and update Finance department promptly.
  • To ensure we use the best methods in machine/genset identification and application by applying the relevant Caterpillar product programmes.
  • To liaise with local suppliers of equipment/accessories/materials as the need may arise from time to time.
  • With the directions of the Sales Manager identify and formulate suitable Marketing advertisements and co-ordinate with Newspaper/Magazine publishers for action.
  • Achieve sales targets as units – value and margin and follow effectively any available opportunity
  • Collect and report to the Sales Manager on trading trends, market opportunities and other matters related to the business
  • Draw up & /implement customer call schedules and strategies towards achievement of the department annual goals
  • Set and submit coverage plans weekly to management
  • Submit on time daily call reports, and relevant reports on activities within the territory – this also to include all competitive activities and market info
  • Organize effective customers coverage - demonstration / test drives for prospective customers.
  • Collect, report & following up on any customer complaint aiming to resolve problem
  • To submit regular national sales updates and liaise with logistics on stock/customer order requirements - Adminstration of stock levels in line with projected sales.
  • Control of Machine/genset deliveries, ensuring proper documentation before release.
Job Specifications:
  • A University degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • At least 2 years work experience in a mechanical plant or construction industry.
  • Strong customer knowledge and excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • A clean driving license.
  • Must be proficient in use of computers

Technical Inspector

Main Responsibilities:
  • Strive for Before Failure Maintenance solutions to customers at all times
  • Provide key leadership in ensuring Condition Monitoring measures are pro-actively used by the customers as a primary driver of future Equipment Maintenance or repairs.
  • Ensure consistent and comprehensive use of all available inspection procedures and forms to facilitate efficient and effective reporting to customers.
  • Ensure historical machine issues have been addressed with the customers and receive feedback on machine performance and relay the same to SOM or supervisors which will act as a driver of future equipment maintenance or repairs solution offering.
  • Ensure machine performance and historical data is properly documented and filed to enable future planning activities
  • Provide key leadership in identifying problematic machines at customer sites and analysing available technical information with a view to enable the service department provide solutions that are cost effective for machine overhauls, ensuring activities are planned and managed in an efficient manner to avoid excessive downtime and providing an improved performance post repair
  • Lead technical support of service operations , ensuring liaison channel between Mantrac and customers is two way and continuous, promoting problem solving and value addition to customers.
Job Specifications:
  • Higher National diploma in mechanical Engineering (Automotive option) with 3 years hands on experience in the earth moving machines repairs in a busy environment.
  • Electrical and electronic as used on mobile plant knowledge will be a definite added advantage.

Procurement Manager.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the purchase of goods and services in a timely and cost effective manner while maintaining company set quality standards and specifications.

Key Responsibilities.
  • Responsible for development and implementation of procurement strategies policies.
  • Responsible for driving the company tendering process for goods and services
  • Responsible for building and developing relationships with key suppliers of goods and services.
  • Responsible for co-ordination of due diligence of existing and potential suppliers.
  • Co-ordination of disposal of company assets in line with company policies.
Key Attributes of Candidate

The successful candidates will be responsible to the General Manager Western Region for the efficient operation of the branch profit centres.

Key Responsibilities
  • Efficient management of guarding, technical, response and cash management services.
  • Driving of revenue growth at the branch by prospecting for new business.
  • Ensuring good credit control practices are maintained in line with company policy.
  • Provision of excellent client liaison services with a view to maximising client satisfaction and retention.
Key Attributes of the Candidate
  • Must have K.C.S.E C. grade or equivalent. Those with a Diploma from a reputable institution or university degree will have an advantage.

Investigation Officer

The investigation officer will be responsible to the Legal services Manager for the timely and effective investigation of incidents as directed and produce concise findings of these investigations.

Key Responsibilities.
  • To carry out investigations in a timely manner and avail clear and concise reports of findings.
  • Attend accident scenes involving company vehicles and avail reports on such incidents.
  • Assist clients in obtaining police documents critical to their insurance claim process.
Key Attributes of the Candidate.
  • Minimum K.C.S.E grade C or equivalent. Possession of a Diploma or university degree in the relevant field will be an advantage.
  • At least two years experience in the relevant field.
  • Knowledge of the statutory provisions governing investigations
  • Experience in the security business.
