  • Implementing new technologies for optimal effectiveness
  • Help with strategic planning process to both un and foreseeable future which may include developing growth strategies, restructuring, marketing, buying/selling assets, or revitalizing leadership
  • Help organizations improve the quality of their products and services
  • Work with clients on organizational changes in the way they operate through fundamental re-orientations
  • Help organizations increase productivity/profitability by improving their operational business processes
  • Work with companies seeking marketing and ICT innovations to market new or existing products and services.
  • Advice companies on human resource issues including recruitment practices, compensation and benefits packages, pensions, work force diversification, staff development and retention programs
  • Provide financial advices on matters such as investments, securities, business valuations, economic forecasting, analyzing statistics, project management and new ventures
  • Facilitate implementation of quality assurance management systems including ISO standards, Balanced score card, performance management, monitoring and evaluation systems.

Assistant Lecturer
  • Applicants must be holders of Masters degree from a recognized university. 
  • Must have a first degree in a related field. Should demonstrate potential for University teaching and /or research. 
  • At least one (1) year post qualification experience in teaching at university level will be an added advantage.
Administrative Positions:

Director of Centre

Have an overall responsibility of Direction, organization and administration of programmes of the center/campus; 
  • Be able to coordinate student affairs including admission, orientation and discipline;
    Provide continuous planning in line with university’s strategic plan. 
  • Be at least a holder of Masters degree preferably in Management/Administration. 
  • At least five (5) years experience in an academic and management position.
Assistant Registrar

The Assistant Registrar is responsible for the management and supervision of the operations of the Admission and Registration, within the Registrar’s Office. 
  • The Assistant Registrar is expected to handle multiple responsibilities and ensure that systems and processes meet strategic goals of the university.
  • The role will involve an administrative capacity.
  • The applicant should have a Masters Degree in a relevant area with a minimum of four years of working experience in a similar position.
Assistant Systems Librarian

The Assistant Systems Librarian will be expected to be familiar with library information systems, integrate all functions of the library through the Library Portal.

The librarian will assist users with access to e-books and e-journals. The successful candidate will have a degree in library science and preferably information technology skills.

Human Resource Officer/Administrator

The human resource officer`s responsibilities will entail processing of salaries; maintaining up to-date human resource information systems; facilitating recruitment; discipline and communication of decisions; ensuring the University is in compliance with all Government regulations including legal and statutory requirements. 
A Bachelors Degree in any of the Social Sciences from a recognized University; have a post graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management; 
Have worked in the human resource management profession for a minimum period of four (4) years in a busy organization; Computer literate.

Assistant Computer Technician

The assistant computer technician will provide solutions to both the hardware and software of computers, undertake upgrades, manage the network, update databases, support the needs of all the users and report to the systems administrator. 
A diploma in Computer Science and a minimum of two years working experience;

Nurse

The applicant shall diagnose illnesses and disabilities, and ensure early detection and correction of health problems. 
  • The applicant should have a current license to practice nursing; three (3) years experience as a professional registered nurse; 
  • a degree/diploma in nursing.
Matron/Warden
  • The successful candidate shall be responsible for student hostel management; taking rounds of the hostel; handling query and problem of the students and reporting the same to the management; 
  • maintenance of discipline in the hostels; ensure cleanliness. 
  • The applicant should have a diploma in a relevant field with at least two years experience in managing student’s hostel.
Credit Officer

The successful candidate will collect all due debts, make visits, and have an up to date and accurate record of all debtors. 
The candidate shall ensure regular and timely distribution of fee notes to student accounts: ensure collection of the unpaid dues; prepare reports of all collections made and outstanding balances. 
  • A Bachelor of Commerce (Hons) or Bachelor of Business Administration with an Accounting option, ACCA or CPA(K). 
  • Three (3) years working experience in debt management, finance or accounting work experience; computerized accounting is essential.
Head of Security

The Head of security shall oversee security operations for the University.
He/she shall enforce security policies to ensure a safe environment for the students, employees and visitors. 
  • Responsibilities shall include risk management assessments, as well as ensuring compliance with the guidelines regarding emergency and security; 
  • work in liaison with the police to assist investigations of accidents, thefts, and property loss;
    He/she shall be responsible for hiring, training, and coordinating work schedules of all security personnel to ensure a secure environment at all times. 
  • The applicant must have a current certificate of good conduct; should have professional security training; five (5) years experience as head of security.
Cateress

The successful candidate will be responsible for food production; planning food and equipment requirements and maintaining proper health and sanitary standards to safeguard the health of students and staff. 
  • The applicant should have a Diploma in Food Production from Kenya Utalii College or a recognized institution; 
  • minimum three(3) years experience in a busy kitchen;

Duties and Responsibilities

An officer at this level will head the Corporate Communications Unit at the Commission where he/she will be responsible to the Secretary/CEO for all public communication matters in the Commission.
Specific duties and responsibilities include
  • identifying Government/Commission events in a specific sectoral area that require packaging for dissemination to the media and the public;
  • preparing and organizing fora where Government/Commission policies, programmes and projects can be propagated and promoted;
  • gathering information on policies, programmes, significant events and how they impact on customers and disseminating the same to the public/media;
  • ensuring proper projection of corporate image of the Commission; and
  • carrying out research based on both local and international press on possible causes of negative publicity on Government/Commission and developing appropriate interventions.
Senior Assistant Director, Policy Analysis and Research

Basic Salary scale: Ksh. 89,748 – 120,270 p.m. (Job Group ‘Q’)
House allowance : Ksh. 40,000
Extraneous allowance : Ksh. 20,000
Commuter allowance : Ksh. 14,000
Leave entitlement : 30 working days per year
Leave allowance : Ksh. 10,000 (Once yearly)

For appointment to this grade, an officer must:
  • served for a minimum period of three (3) years at the grade of Assistant Director of Programmes, Research and Analysis, Job Group ‘P’ or in a comparable position in the Public Service;
  • a Masters degree in Business or Economics from a recognized university;
  • attended a Strategic Leadership Development Programme lasting not less than six (6) weeks in a recognized institution;
  • a thorough knowledge and understanding of the concepts and techniques of academic research, with particular emphasis on Public Policy Analysis and publication;
  • ability to write and edit in a clear, concise and understandable manner;
  • have creativity and innovativeness;
  • be of high integrity, motivated and a team player;
  • possess advanced computer application skills; and
  • demonstrated professional competence and managerial capability as reflected in work performance and results.
Duties and responsibilities

An officer at this level will be the head of programmes, research and policy analysis in the Commission where he/she will be responsible to the Secretary/Chief Executive Officer for all programmes, research and analysis.

Specific duties include:
  • provision of non-partisan professional research assistance and analysis to the Commission and its committees;
  • providing expert interpretation, explanation and analysis;
  • assessing the strengths and weaknesses of existing policies;
  • providing technical back-up to the committees of the Commission; and
  • publishing conference papers.

Data Analyst Lead
Saman Associates is currently in the process of recruiting a Data Analyst for one of its clients.  
The core responsibility of this position will be to support clients in various countries in Africa that use a mobile phone/web application market survey system that is administered through their Nairobi Office.

The incumbent will be responsible for the following:
  • Ensure that the implementation of new functionalities or versions are completed on time and on budget to the specifications of the client;
  • Support the operational aspects of systems in use by clients which will include investigating and managing data manipulation/extraction/integration issues in the systems;
  • Implement systems to be used by clients through training;
  • Ensure client needs in data analysis are met through data mining, design and creation of reports;
  • Monitor data setup request queues and provide end-user support;
  • Write and maintain documentation to data analysis development, logic, coding, testing, changes and corrections;
  • Consult with client to gather information about data analysis needs, objectives, and input and output requirements
  • Review and analyze the data analysis process to determine whether all required elements have been included;
  • Ensure that quality control procedures are performed continually;
  • Modify existing automated solutions to conform to system changes or make improvements in the existing solutions;
  • Design data structures and dashboards using relevant tools.
The successful candidate should have the following qualifications:-
  • Three (3) years experience as a data analyst in the FMCG industry or similar job;
  • Bachelors degree or Diploma in Sciences (including courses in Mathematics or Computer Sciences);
  • Certificate in one or more programming languages;
  • Experience in administering a mobile application;
  • Experience in programming;
  • Professional verbal and written communication skills;
  • Team management experience is added advantage.

Job Purpose:

The Registrar will oversee all academic requirements of the new and current Students in the University, in consultation with the Deputy Vice Chancellor - Academic Affairs,

Key Responsibilities and accountabilities:
  • Review applications from prospective Students
  • Convene the Admissions Committee to review the probationary admissions or any applications that require policy exemption.
  • Present academic reports on a regular to the DVC Academic Affairs and Senate for decision making.
  • Manage the registration process for returning and new Students by overseeing the entire process to give Students a well organized experience.
  • Issue official transcripts of Students and alumni upon request
  • Write official communication to Students in connection with academic affairs

  • Handle queries from Students and Faculty pertaining to various academic issues
  • In consultation with the DVC Academic Affairs s, schedule the central course timetable each term and allocate instructional space.
  • Set the examinations timetable and take oversight of all exam operational aspects
  • Oversee budget for the department in consultation with the DVC Academic Affairs s
  • Participate fully in the various committees including Senate, Admissions, Graduation and Scholarship allocations.
  • Supervise the productivity and performance of the staff in the admissions, records and secretarial support section reporting to the Registrar’s office.
  • Perform such other duties related to student records as may be required by the DVC Academic Affairs from time to time.
Minimum Requirements:
  • Masters degree in Education OR a relevant degree plus a Diploma in Education
  • Minimum five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in registration and student records or a closely related area in higher education
  • Effective Interpersonal skills and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Proven problem solving skills, flexibility and calm under pressure
  • Must be a good team player capable of fostering a cooperative work environment
  • Understand and adhere to the PACU Statement of Faith

Job Title: Administrator

Reports to: The QUEST Director

Job Purpose:  
The Administrator shall be responsible for giving administrative support to the institution, and be a point of contact between the Director and the clients.

The administrator will be expected to:
  • Support the preparation of course schedules/calendars and co-ordinate the delivery of these training courses and/or workshops (including on-site delivery) while maintaining the appropriate reporting systems
  • Co-ordinate and ensure availability of trainers, venue and training equipment and catering requirements to meet training course schedules
  • Secure suitable venues for the delivery of CALE’s Training courses and/or workshops and organize appropriate accommodation, travel and transport of resources when required
  • Promote marketing and networking
  • Co-ordinate advertising and promotional materials (including registration and/or enrolment forms) and market local training programs to members, clients and other key stakeholders
  • Co-ordinate training resources and manage these resources within budget allocations
  • Plan and organize for mail out of promotional material in line with the Centre marketing plan
  • Support curriculum development and facilitation
  • Prepare and provide course participants with the CALE’s Trainee Information Kit prior to workshop or course commencement
  • Maintain course and student files, as well as student databases and reporting systems
  • Process accounts, invoices and reconcile petty cash (where required)
  • Co-ordinate the archiving of course documentation (as stipulated in CALE’s Quality Assurance and Compliance System) and maintain an accurate archive register
  • Administrative duties (including data entry, invoicing and banking) where required
The suitable candidate will be a born again Christian playing an active role in his or her church. In addition, the candidate should meet the following qualifications:
  • At least a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Leadership, or any other related field.
  • Demonstrable skills in marketing consulting services and exposure in dealing with diverse clientele in the context of racial, ethnic and cultural diversity.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and negotiation skills.
  • Proven expertise and knowledge in development of winning proposals, contract delivery and  management.
  • Excellence in written and spoken English, particularly the ability to write persuasive and high quality proposals and reports will be vital for succeeding in this role.
  • High proficiency in computing skills, especially use of MS Word, Excel, and Power point.
  • Excellence in communication, particularly the ability to form an effective working relationship with diverse clients
  • At least seven 3 years of relevant work experience in coordinating training programs and/or managing of consulting services at a senior organizational level
  • Work experience and professional contacts in the Eastern Africa region will be an added advantage.
