Purpose
 
Develop and execute effective marketing solutions to cultivate brand and growth of the publishing house and identify new marketing opportunities.
 
Duties
  • Develop brand portfolio objectives, strategies and plans to facilitate business growth.
  • Able to bring fresh ideas and contacts from the media industry.
  • Design, implement and facilitate the marketing plan for the company.
  • Public Relations efforts: Bring media attention to news worthy activities write and disseminate press releases.
  • Identify new potential advertising partners
  • Develop creative ways to promote the magazine
  • Develop and administer a marketing database
Education and Training
  • BS/BA in Marketing, Public Relations or related field
  • Experience and media connections in the media industry in Kenya are an added advantage.
  • Experienced with internet advertising and highly efficient with social media.
  • Detail oriented with the ability to manage projects from inception through execution.
  • Marketing experience in a midsize company is required.

Handyman – Vehicle Mechanics
A dynamic company based in Nairobi is looking for a Vehicle Mechanic with Electrical Skills.
Purpose
Undertake preventive and maintenance measures of motor vehicles, and also perform general electrical maintenance on buildings and equipment.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Diploma in Auto/Mechanical Engineering  or a Government Trade Test  1 and a valid driving license preferably with Class B, C, E
  • Hold a Government Trade Test Grade 1 in electrical Installations & Maintenance
  • 3 years experience in repairs and maintenance of all vehicles in the automotive field.
  • Computer literate with good knowledge of MS office
  • Demonstrated Multi skilling in Mechanics, auto Electrical, Auto Electronics, welding and fabrication works a great advantage
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills, in English and Kiswahili
Duties
  • Repairing, servicing and diagnosing faults on vehicles and determining the extent of repairs required.
  • Stripping, fitting and replacing components on fleet of various makes, types and kinds.
  • Undertake inspections, repairs and routine preventative maintenance, to ensure that all vehicles, plant and equipment meet or exceed set repair and maintenance standards.
  • Perform electrical maintenance on buildings and equipment.
  • Attend to breakdowns in the power generators and UPS systems and take corrective action.
  • Electrical cabling & fittings including sockets and extensions
  • Lighting systems, replacements of faulty lights and air conditioners
  • Liaise with the administrator to ensure spending is within budgets

1. Project Manager (1)
 
Required Qualifications:
  • College / University degree in relevant discipline and 5 years’ experience in Project Management.
Purpose of the job: Oversee the planning, implementation, and tracking of projects which has a beginning, an end and specified deliverables.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Achieve operational objectives by contributing information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer service standards.
  • Define the scope of the project in collaboration with senior management.
  • Execute the project according to the project plan.

  • Maintaining telephone contact with customers according to established guidelines and standards to ensure prompt payment.
  • Managing collection efforts with a high level of persuasiveness & professionalism.
  • Maintaining positive customer relationship and minimize bad debt exposure.
  • Some travel required.
