Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) has been present in Somalia since early 2004 and has since expanded its programme to Kenya in 2006 and to Ethiopia in 2011. 

Since 2004, the Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) has demonstrated a regional competence and expertise in working with displaced populations. 

NRC has mainly focused on Somalis who are displaced by the ongoing conflict and more recently by the drought and famine. 

The Regional Office is based in Nairobi, Kenya with offices and operations in Somalia (Puntland, Somaliland and Mogadishu), Kenya (Dadaab and Molo) and Ethiopia (Addis Abeba and Dolo Ado).

What we are looking for:

Someone to improve the Document Management and Filing systems and routines and ensure that all relevant staff members are sufficiently trained and utilising the relevant Document Management and filing systems effectively. 

Besides working with the needs in the Horn of Africa Programme, support should be given to the NRC programmes in South-Sudan and DR Congo according to capacity and needs.

Safety & Security Manager

The Safety & Security Manager is the principal security staff for Dadaab, whose role is to strategically and operationally mitigate risks to NRC staff, programs and assets. 

The SSM is responsible for provision of technical operational security and safety support to NRC Dadaab activities in addition to providing advisory and strategic analytical support to management and ensuring physical security at NRC Dadaab locations. 

The SSM will also coordinate the security focal points across the operational areas in Dadaab.
