Thus, writers are required to have positive attitude towards their work, observe tight deadlines and ensure academic papers are plagiarism-free.

As a result of increasing number of orders (academic papers), we are currently recruiting experienced writers in the fields of computer science, IT management, Technology, Engineering, Management, Business and Marketing.

Eligible candidates should have the following
  • Unlimited access to internet connection and own laptop/PC
  • At least six months experience in writing academic papers
  • Ability to write plagiarism-free academic papers
  • Vast knowledge in standard referencing styles: APA, Harvard, MLA, Turabian/Chicago, Vacouver and Oxford
  • Ability to meet deadlines and sometimes work under pressure
Terms and Conditions
  • This is a fulltime employment. 
  • Once hired, the writer should be reachable via phone and/or email 24/7.
  • Orders are paid after every two weeks i.e. on 15th and 1st day of every month.
  • Payment rate is from shs. 200 - shs. 350 per page and increment depend on consistent quality of work, timely submission and writer’s reliability.
  • Mode of salary payment is through Mastercard, Wire Transfer and/or M-pesa. Amount paid depends on number of pages submitted during working period of 15 days.
  • Please note, in some instances customers request for revision that may need to be worked on immediately. The writer is expected to be available and work on the revision as requested.
  • Late submission and plagiarism may lead to cancellation and/or imposition of fine on order(s). 
  • Consecutive lateness on unreasonable grounds leads to termination of writer’s contract.
  • Request for deadline extension should be done in advance.
  • Positive feedback on papers submitted by a writer leads to automatic award of bonus.

Grants Officer


Summary 

The Grants Officer will be responsible for the grants management for a portfolio of 4-9 sub-recipients under a U.S. Government-funded project. 

With support from the Grants Manager, the Grants Officer will administer sub-agreements from start-up to closeout as well as provide monitoring and support throughout the life of award to ensure compliance with Foundation, donor, and legal requirements as well as high performance in line with programmatic goals. 

The Grants Officer will also ensure that all sub-recipients have a strong financial management system that ensures transparency and accountability of Foundation resources. 

Key tasks will include the following:
Sub-agreement Administration 
  • Participate in the evaluation of potential sub-recipients’ proposals and conduct the pre-award and risk assessments for all potential partners. 
  • Ensure adequate documentation of this process. 
  • Work closely with the relevant Partner Activity Managers and Technical Officer in developing sub-recipients annual operation plans and budget. 
  • Prepare outgoing subawards and amendments, as needed, for review in accordance with the Signature Authority Policy 
  • After projects are completed, closeout grants in accordance with applicable policies and procedures. 
Monitoring and Support of Sub-recipients 
  • Ensure compliance with financial and administrative requirements, regulations, and policies of the Foundation and our donors. 
  • Provide ongoing support to sub-recipients to improve their administrative performance, build their operational capacity, and reduce the risk to the project and the Foundation. In collaboration with the Grants Manager and Capacity Building Officer, track progress against capacity improvement indicators.
  • Provide assistance to the sub-recipients in understanding the terms and conditions of the award and facilitate or provide any necessary training/mentoring.
  • Conduct site visits and prepare reports for approval of the Grants Manager. Report all compliance findings to the Grants Manager and assist in the development of possible solutions. Appropriately document follow-up and ensure timely corrective action.
  • Work closely with the Grants Manager and Activity Manager to develop annual monitoring and support plans for assigned sub-recipients, in accordance with Foundation policy, and ensure the monitoring and support tracker is kept up to date.
  • Document evidence of monitoring and support and any compliance findings in both the award file and CGIS. 
 Budgeting and Financial Reviews
  • Review monthly financial reports and cash requests and monitor actual expenditures against budgets/ceilings, documenting material variances and working closely with the partners to minimize deviations from planned spending. 
  • Ensure that all the expenditures reported by sub-awardees meet the allowability criteria prior to being charged to the award; document, disseminate and follow up on disallowed expenses. 
  • Monitor deadlines and ensure final deliverables from grantees conform to the Foundation’s requirements. 
  • Work with the Sub-awardees to build their capacity to prepare and submit accurate financial reports by 5th of every month. 
  • Provide ongoing assistance in reviewing sub awardees financial and accounting policies and procedures and also their internal control system. 
  • Provide relevant financial information for decision making to the sub-awardees and technical teams in order to facilitate proper program implementation. 
  • Ensure the cash disbursement tracking schedule is updated and circulated in a timely manner, liaising with HQ to minimize delays to partner funds disbursement 
Other Responsibilities 
  • CGIS is the Foundation’s global Contracts & Grants Information System. Grants Officer will maintain accurate, complete, and up-to-date information in CGIS on all assigned awards. This will include documents from pre-award to closeout and evidence of monitoring and support. 
  • Grants Officer will also ensure any paper files are complete and up to date. 
  • Maintain excellent working relationships with local coworkers, colleagues in other Foundation offices, and partners. 
  • Other relevant duties as assigned by the Grants Manager.
Qualifications 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Management or other related field required. 
  • CPA qualifications will be added advantage 
  • Minimum 2-3 years experience in USAID, CDC, or other U.S. Government-funded grants administration. Experience in an international non-profit organization preferred. 
  • Knowledge of Federal compliance rules, regulations and standards associated with USG funds and non-profit accounting a plus. 
  • Proficient computer/software skills, including a command of MS Word and Excel. Experience with Quickbooks a plus. 
  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work with others in a global team environment and ability to travel. 
  • Excellent organizational skills, ability to work independently, assess priorities, and manage a variety of activities with attention to detail. 
  • Excellent communication skills. 
  • Ability to edit and write clearly and concisely in business environment.

Background

The Regional Centre is based in Nairobi and is mandated to provide leadership and support to the Oxfam country programmes in delivering their strategies within the context of programme quality, and efficiency.

Oxfam believes in the principle that ensuring design and implementation of all programming with poor women’s rights at the heart is the key to bring about lasting change in lives of the poor, especially women. 

As a member of the Regional Programme Support Team, the Regional Change Lead is expected to work closely with the Regional Programme Quality Lead and programmes to ensure the embedding of poor women’s rights in the heart of all programming.

The role
  • Work closely with the Regional Aim 5 lead Develop a strategy & process for design and implementation of programmes though the perspective of poor women's rights 
  • Work closely development, humanitarian and advocacy programmes to incorporate poor women's rights in the design 
  • Help develop gender sensitive outcomes and indicators in the M&E systems for programmes
  • Accompany selected programmes closely and provide them support to enhance overall programme quality in accordance with the regional strategy on the same. 
  • Provide support to relevant regional technical / thematic advisers to ensure that they are able to provide effective support around poor women's rights in their areas of work 
  • Work closely with Oxfam GB corporate leads on facilitating implementation of corporate initiatives around poor women's rights 
  • Inform & facilitate corporate initiatives around poor women's rights 
  • Support country gender and poor women's rights staff in technical aspects of their work. Work will mostly be with non-gender specialists. 
  • Engage on gender in humanitarian response. 
  • Facilitate a network of practice across programmes on poor women's rights
The Person 
  • Understanding of a broad range of issues and concepts around poor women's rights in the context of programming in the Horn East and Central Africa region 
  • Strong technical competence in gender issues, women's rights frameworks, learning 
  • Demonstrable understanding and minimum 10 years of direct experience of long-term development, humanitarian response and campaigns and advocacy work 
  • Ability to demonstrate flexibility and understanding of practical issues faced by programme managers in implementing programmes in HECA 
  • Strong influencing skills especially in dealing with country management teams and advisers / managers in Oxfam House.
  • Demonstrated tenacity 
  • Demonstrated ability to contribute to multi-disciplinary teams and to work with and influence people from diverse backgrounds 
  • Good critical grasp of latest sector thinking, standards and good practice 
  • Demonstrable experience of developing and delivering successful capacity building strategies and coaching teams 
  • Ability to work both on humanitarian response and long term development simultaneously 
  • Strong ability to work with non-gender focussed colleagues strategically and pragmatically 
  • Strong conceptual, analytical and critical thinking
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time from the regional base
