Sales Engineer (Low Voltage Products)

The role entails identifying and resolving client concerns, establishing and maintaining current client and potential client relationships, managing account services through quality checks and other follow-up, selling ABB’s range of Low voltage products to current and potential clients, identifying sales prospects and contact these and other accounts as assigned, preparing proposals and sales contracts, commercial and technical clarification of client’s orders.

You should be in possession of a relevant Bachelors degree or Higher Diploma, 3-5 years experience in the power distribution, motor control applications and technical experience with Breakers, Switches, control products & LV switchboards and MCC applications, sound knowledge of local industries, good communication and interpersonal skills, good computer skills, a keen sense of urgency, and a valid driver’s license.

You must be able to work independently and willing to travel to site.

Sales Engineer (Discrete and Motion)

The role entails identifying and resolving client concerns, establishing and maintaining current client and potential client relationships, managing account services through quality checks and other follow-up, selling ABB range of motors, generators & drives and related service products to current and potential clients, identifying sales prospects and contact these and other accounts as assigned, preparing proposals and sales contracts, commercial and technical clarification of client’s orders.

You should be in possession of a relevant Bachelors degree or Higher Diploma, 3-5 years experience in the Electric motor market in Kenya, alternatively similar experience with motor driven equipment and applications.

You also need to have technical experience with AC and DC electrical motors, Drives and PLC applications, sound knowledge of local industries, good communication and interpersonal skills, good computer skills, a keen sense of urgency and a willingness to learn additional job related skills and a valid driver’s license.

You must be able to work independently and willing to travel to site.

Sales Engineer (Process Automation - Mining)

The role entails identifying and resolving client concerns, establishing and maintaining current client and potential client relationships, compiling budgetary targets and market plans, preparing and submission of tenders for potential projects based upon enquiry information, identifying sales prospects and contact these and other accounts as assigned, compiling regular reports on recent and current activities covering market conditions, tenders submitted and future prospects, participation in technical and commercial negotiations with customers or with suppliers with regards to price levels, and delivery times.

You should be in possession of a BSc. Engineering (E/E) degree or diploma, minimum 5 years and above on Sales experience in Mining and technical knowledge in LV, MV and drive solutions.

Sales Engineer (Process Automation - Oil & Gas)

The role entails identifying and resolving client concerns, establishing and maintaining good lines of communication with customers, suppliers and internal local and overseas ABB staff, regular customer visits, compiling budgetary targets and market plans, preparing and submission of tenders for potential projects based upon enquiry information, identifying sales prospects and contact these and other accounts as assigned, compiling regular reports on recent and current activities covering market conditions, tenders submitted and future prospects, participation in technical and commercial negotiations with customers or with suppliers with regards to price levels, and delivery times.

You should be in possession of a BSc. Engineering (E/E) degree or higher diploma, 3-5 years Sales experience in Oil & Gas and technical knowledge in LV, MV and drive solutions.

Sales Engineer (Power Products & Power Systems)

The role entails updating market intelligence, developing the business through market research and early identification of project opportunities, tracking and monitoring project opportunities, identifying portfolio gaps, future customer needs and opportunities to support R&D processes, participation in the demand side budgeting process, promotion and selling Power Technologies portfolio of products, systems and services, preparing quotations, project tender preparations, and tracking them/ ensure price quality.

You should be in possession of a relevant Bachelors Degree or Higher Diploma, minimum 5 years experience in the power products and systems, sound knowledge of local industries, good communication and interpersonal skills, good computer skills, a keen sense of urgency, and a driver’s license.

Working experience with a Power generation/distribution utility will be an added advantage and candidate is expected to work with minimal supervision.

Service Sales Engineer (Power Products, Power Systems, Variable Speed Drives & Motors)

The role entails drawing up and implementing Service Sales and Marketing plans for Power Systems and Power Products clients in Kenya and adjoining countries, offering advice and recommendations to the customer base for service related performance solutions, conducting customer presentations / seminars / business forums as required, analysing the market in terms of trends, size and needs, identifying sales / service opportunities for other products from ABB, actively promoting the existing service sales products, retain / grow service contracts, providing training services to customers, preparation of service account plan.

You should be in possession of Degree in Power Systems / Engineering or similar. An additional Sales/Marketing qualification will be an advantage, minimum 5-8 years Sales experience in Power Systems environment. Must have previous knowledge of performance based services / products, either from a user or vendor perspective, understand Value Based Selling, be innovative and open minded for service solutions, operate as a team member.

Working experience with a Power generation/distribution utility will be an added advantage and candidate is expected to work with minimal supervision.
