Position: Midwife

Location: Nairobi and Eldoret

Reporting To: Doctor in- Charge

Position Summary

The Mid wife will support SOS Medical Centres in Eldoret and Nairobi to serve in the ‘Save My mother project’ a newly established cervical cancer screening and treatment project.

Key tasks and responsibilities

• Community mobilisation and awareness on cervical cancer
• Carrying out screening and treatment on cercal cancer
• Overseeing data collection and analysing for the project
• Community capacity building on health care issues related to cervical cancer
• Guiding and counselling support

Job Profile

• Must have a diploma ¡n Nursing with midwifery, certified by the Nursing council of Kenya
• At least for 10 years working experience as a nurse.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision
• Ability to work directly with women at grass root level
• Retired midwives are encouraged to apply
