Part Time New Business Development Agent for UK Charity in Nairobi

Who We are

Scholarships for Kids (SFK) is a registered charity based in the UK committed to helping young people in some of the world's poorest areas by providing financial assistance that will help with their education and employment.

SFK scholarship funding provides an opportunity for financially disadvantaged young people between the ages of  16-23 to obtain technical and vocational training.

We therefore want to encourage as many local and international Kenya-based companies as possible to partner with SFK in supporting the aspirations of young people.

Your Job

As a Part Time new business development agent for our UK charity you will be responsible for
  • Identifying suitable companies in Kenya to fund SFK student sponsorship
  • Setting up meetings with prospective partner companies
  • Explaining our work to encourage partnership with our charity
  • Communicating our written presentation to company executives
  • Asking companies to sponsor 2 or more students for a 2 year period
  • Establishing and maintaining working relationships
  • Providing SFK with regular feedback
Hours and Environment
  • As you will be self-employed, you will be able to regulate your own hours and work from home.
  • The maximum weekly hours will be agreed in advance with SFK at the beginning of the Contract.
  • The Part Time Contract can be for a minimum of one year, depending on performance and there will be a notice period of one month on behalf of both parties.
  • You will receive a monthly fee and will earn a percentage commission on every student sponsorship achieved.
  • This is an interesting job that would suit someone with experience in charity work or the education sector.
  • You will be organised, excellent at spoken and written communication and ready to use your own initiative to identify potential corporate sponsors.
  • Any expenses to be agreed in advance by SFK
  • You will be directly responsible to the CEO of SFK.
Start Date

The job can start immediately; once a suitable candidate and his/her job spec has been agreed by all parties.
