Jhpiego, an affiliate of Johns Hopkins University, enhances the health and saves the lives of women, girls and families. 

Jhpiego-Kenya works in close collaboration with both the Ministry of Medical Services and the Ministry of Public Health and Sanitation in the areas of HIV, Malaria, TB, Maternal, Newborn and Child Health, Reproductive Health and Family Planning. 

Jhpiego is currently recruiting for a Senior Manager who is a team player, dedicated, highly motivated and willing to work in a high-pressure office requiring multi-tasking.
 
Senior ICT Manager
 
Reporting to the Finance & Administration Director, the Senior ICT Manager will be responsible for deployment and effective functioning of ICT systems and provision of ICT services in Jhpiego Kenya’s offices.

S/he will provide guidance on ICT policy and strategy, and make recommendations for improvement of ICT services as required.

Responsibilities:
  • Management of ICT operations and staff
  • Design, installation, configuration, monitoring and management of ICT systems and applications
  • Ensuring system security
  • Management and direction of use of ICT in program activities
  • Planning and management of major developments of ICT systems and services
  • Ensuring new systems are aligned with ICT and business plans and strategies
  • Developing and maintaining ICT policies
  • Providing regular updates, guidance/feedback on ICT policy, strategy and implementation
Required qualifications, knowledge and competencies:
  • Master’s degree (A degree in an ICT related field would be preferred)
  • Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP) and Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
  • Minimum 10 years’ technical and 5 years’ management experience
  • Progressively responsible experience creating, maintaining and managing ICT systems, operations and teams
  • Demonstrable expertise and experience in the setup and administration of:
  1. VMware vSphere virtualization infrastructure including physical server and storage hardware, and iSCSI SANs
  2. Windows and Linux servers including server services and applications such as Microsoft Active Directory, Citrix XenApp, Windows SharePoint Services, Microsoft SQL Server and MySQL databases, Internet Information Services and Apache web servers, Postfix mail servers
  3. Data backup systems
  4. System security
  5. Local and wide area networks
  6. Internet link load balancing and bandwidth management
  7. IP phone systems
