Concierge Manager 

Luxury Tour & Travel Company.

The main role for this position is to set and maintain a high level of guest services that is unsurpassed in a leading luxurious tour company.


 
Key Responsibilities.
  • Assist the operation manager in day to day operation of the company and specifically in charge of concierge department.
  • Coordinate guest’s itineraries, ensuring smooth guests arrivals and transfers to designated hotels.
  • Ensure that guest’s preferences are met and amenities are provided per excellence and all other inquiries are responded promptly and discreetly in a very professional manner.
  • Ensure that guests are provided with general information and directions as per company’s set guidelines
  • Develop strong rapports with guests, Travel Partners, Property Managers & Suppliers
  • Control the department revenue, ensuring proper book keeping, adhering to stringent procurement procedures and controlling department’s expenditure to acceptable margins while maintaining an exceptionally high level of customer service.
  • In charge of acquisition of department’s supplies checking keenly on re-order levels to avoid haphazard buying.
  • In charge of guest’s gifts preparations, packaging and dispatch as per the company laid down procedure.
  • Observe and monitor staff performance, making sure that desired results is achieved.
  • Coach, counsel and handle staff grievances while taking disciplinary action within the department.
  • Maintains company’s high profile and image.
Qualifications
  • Degree or Diploma in Tourism Management/Hotel management or its equivalent
  • At least 3 years’ experience in the middle level management in a busy Tour Company or Hospitality industry.

  • Ability to multi-task and have excellent attention to detail.
  • Expansive Knowledge  of  high end properties within East Africa region.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Have interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Computer experience and the ability to use micro soft word and spreadsheet
  • Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and oral forms
  • Strong Ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision
  • leadership skills and good management practices
  • Aged 30 years and above
