Sales Manager – Community Channel

Our client is a leading manufacturer of plastic products in the region. 

They seek to hire a Sales Manager whose key function is to influence buyers’ decisions in communities such as in NGO establishments, Savings and Credit Societies’ (SACCOs), Microfinance Institutions (MFI’s), Women groups, chamas, and other community associations towards purchase of their products that are targeted at consumers at the bottom of the pyramid. 

Duties & Responsibilities 

• To implement and achieve sales plan to ensure achievement of overall company’s sales objectives.
• Participate in the assigned development and marketing plans
• Perform competitive market analysis, maintain current information on all local competition regarding product, pricing, financing, marketing strategy and communicate the information to management
• Ensure that the product is available and adequate stocking of sales materials, including brochures and pamphlets
• To manage relationships with distributors, distributors sales reps and their customers
• To Co-ordinate and oversee the operations of the marketing agency and their representatives
• Hire and train community sales executives, manage their activities and progress
• To explore new business with own talent and experience

Qualifications

• University Degree or equivalent professional qualification/experience
• 3 years sales experience, preferably to NGO’s, MFI’s, or other community associations
• Ability to work independently in an automous, new, complex and informal environment
• Must posses strong follow-up and leadership skills
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize under pressure to meet deadlines
• Strong analytical and customer service skill with a positive attitude, flexible, adaptable and reliable.
