Reports to: Managing Director
Job Purpose: The Marketing Executive is responsible for new business (client) acquisition in line with the organization’s growth strategies.
The Marketing Executive will also be responsible for the execution of marketing projects and activities.
The Marketing Executive will also be involved in liaison with various stakeholders comprising suppliers, agencies, clients and prospects.
Key Accountabilities
1. Prospect and acquire new business (clients)
2. Project coordination & execution.
Duties and Responsibilities
1. New client acquisition:
- Identify new sales opportunities
- Contact prospects and qualify them for business
- Engage prospects, understand their requirements and develop proposals
- Develop project cost models and quotations
- Negotiate and close the sale in line with the organization’s policy
- Manage the tender process - develop, submit and follow up on request for information/ proposal.
2. Project Implementation
- Effect client engagement terms i.e. LPO’s, Contract document, SLA and payments for services on as per company policy.
- Develop and update the Project Plan
- Attend client meetings with the Lead Consultant
- Prepare contact notes and circulate them
- Execute the project activities and tasks as agreed
- Manage the design and production of marketing materials, including leaflets, posters, flyers, banners, newsletters, magazines, e-newsletters, pack designs
- Writing and proofreading of copy
- Identify suppliers required, source samples, negotiate pricing, source for required items and effect payments
- Follow up with the client for closure of agreed actions
- Liaise with project stakeholders and 3rd party as may be necessary regarding the project
- Arrange the effective distribution of marketing materials
- Manage projects costs within budget
- Update actual project profitability at the end of the project
- Evaluate success of project and marketing campaigns
- Client relationship management to ensure the organization delivers and maintains desired customer satisfaction levels
3. Provide marketing support for the Organization
- Contribute to the development and execution of the organization’s marketing strategy and tactics
- Create and update required templates as may be required from time to time
- Take up other organization’s responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time
- Develop presentations and toolkits as may be required from time to time
- Maintain and update customer databases
- Organize and attend company, client or industry events such as conferences, seminars, receptions and exhibitions or networking forums
- Source and secure sponsorship
- Conduct market research
- Manage budgets
- Monitor competitor activities
- Support the organization team
4. Personal development
- Integrate personal development interventions like online studies, mentorship, training etc. to bridge identified skill gaps
- Continuous learning of industry developments including observations of what is happening in the economy, key industries and prospects’ businesses.

- Graduate (Business related discipline would be an advantage)

- 12 month experience in a similar role
Working Conditions: The job may require the job holder to at times work longer hours or even the weekend so as to complete the project/ tender.

Salary: Between Kshs 25,000 – 30,000 Gross plus Commission on Business Brought
