Agro-Chemical and Food Company Limited, a leading manufacturer and supplier of Spirits and Baker's Yeast located in Western Kenya, is seeking qualified Kenyans to fill the following positions.

These positions require proactive individuals who have the highest level of initiative, excellent interpersonal skills, team spirit and proficient in the use of computers.

1. Engineering Manager

Reporting to Works Manager, Engineering Manager will be responsible for mechanical, electrical and instrumentation sections. The applicant should be able to use modern maintenance management techniques to carry out preventive, predictive and computerized management systems to ensure maximum availability of the plant.

They should be aged between 35 and 45 years, holders of Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, registered with Engineering Registration Board with minimum of 10 years experience as an engineer in a senior position in continuous chemical/food manufacturing industry.

2. Instrumentation Engineer

Reporting to Assistant Manager (Instrumentation), the Instrumentation Engineer will supervise a team of technicians to ensure effective and efficient operation of plant control engineering systems.

Applicants should be aged between 28 and 35 years, holders of Bachelor's degree in electronics, controls and instrumentation or related fields with minimum of 3 years experience in a busy process industry on instrumentation and controls. Knowledge of PLC, DCS and SCADA is a prerequisite..

3. Boiler Technician (on contract)

Reporting to Engineering Manager, Boiler Technician will maintain safe and efficient operation of all steam and other related equipment in the boiler room and factory.

Applicants should be aged between 35 to 45 years, holders of Diploma in mechanical or electrical engineering with at least 10 years experience in maintaining and running oil/gas burner heavy duty boiler systems.

4. Boiler Operator

Reporting to the Boiler Technician, Boiler Operator will be responsible for operating the steam system equipment as per approved procedures.

Applicants should be aged between 25 to 35 years, holders of KCSE grade C plain and certificate in electrical or mechanical engineering. They must have undergone and attained final proficiency in Boiler operations.

Those who have undergone apprenticeship with DIT will have an added advantage. At least five years experience in medium size boiler room operations is required.

5. Process Plant Operators

Reporting to Process Superintendant, applicants should be between 28-35 years and holders of KCSE certificate with aggregate C with 3 years experience

In addition they should have Diploma in Chemical Engineering or Food Technology. Certified knowledge of ISO 9001-2008 and 22000-2005 will be an added advantage.

6. Accountant

Reporting to the Financial Accountant, the Accountant will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, compiling and reporting management accounts for decision making.

Applicants should be between the age of 25 to 35, holders of Bachelor's degree in commerce, finance or related field, CPA II or equivalent and 3 years experience in a busy financial department. Knowledge of ERP system will be an added advantage.

An attractive remuneration package commensurate with the responsibilities will be negotiated with the right candidates.
