Pathfinder International is the lead partner of APHIAplus project in Zone 2, Nairobi and Coast provinces.

APHIAplus is a five year project award from USAID for comprehensive health service delivery to provide sustainable, integrated, quality health services resulting in improved health outcomes.

Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist

Location: Mombasa

Reporting to the Deputy Director, the M&E Specialist has primary responsibility for the design and implementation of M&E systems and activities to measure overall project performance.

S/he will assist; project staff and partners in data collection, analysis, and presentation, including leading the design and operationalization of systems and tools. S/he will work closely with MOH counterparts and prepare regular reports for USAID.

S/he will also design and conduct operations research, and participate in project midterm and final evaluations, and oversee M&E staff.

Job Requirements
  • A graduate degree in quantitative social science or its equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years work experience in monitoring and evaluation in the health sector
  • Applied skills in Monitoring and evaluation of development projects.
  • Knowledgeable of challenges faced in Kenya in the areas of HIV/AIDS, RH/FP, MCH, OVC is preferred.
  • Familiarity with M&E software, including the KePMS, and data management skills are essential for this role.
  • Strong analytical and leadership skills
Service Delivery Specialist

Location: Mombasa

The Service Delivery Specialist will provide technical leadership within project area and lead implementation of national packages and guidelines for KEPH services at health facility level.

S/he will work in close coordination with Government, including MOH and NASCOP divisions to ensure activities are in line with national guidelines and policies.

The role will be responsible for providing strategic guidance to ensure delivery of technical support to MOH and support the strengthening of provincial and district health stakeholder forums.

S/he will supervise the Service Delivery Coordinators and Home and Community Support manager to ensure linkages of clinical and community services and lead in the preparation of quarterly/annual reports.

Job Requirements
  • A graduate degree in medicine. Masters in public health will be an added advantage
  • Minimum 5 years experience implementing Reproductive Health/family planning and or HIV service delivery programs
  • Experience working with MOH personnel and good knowledge of health systems and programs
  • Demonstrated collaborative approach with Government in providing mentorship and supervision for strengthening healthcare services and training in quality improvement approaches
  • Excellent analytical skills and proven experience in establishing relevant project monitoring systems, assessment design and proposal development.
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to build relationships, work well as part of a team and facilitate the achievement of results.
Data Officer

Location: Nairobi

Reporting to the Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist and working closely with the Data Manager the Data Officer is responsible for ensuring quality in collection, cleaning and entry of community and health facility data into the project databases, and collation of training reports.

S/he will participate in data analysis and presentation and provide support for data collection, analysis, dissemination, and use among project partners.

Job Requirements
  • Diploma in Health Records or its equivalent
  • Four years relevant work experience in an international NGO preferably in HIV/AIDS sector.
  • Solid experience in data quality exercises and data entry.
  • Training and capacity building skills.
  • Ability to meet strict deadlines and work independently.
  • Good working knowledge with Excel, SPSS, or other statistical programs or PEPFAR databases preferred
