A multinational company with their headquarters in the US wishes to fill the following vacancies for their Kenya office.

Director Finance & Administration

Job Profile
  • Maintains constant communications with the head office in the US, reporting on budgetary issues, progress and challenges encountered.
  • Manages the Finances of the Project, Administrative and Accounting Staff.
  • Develops and Manages Project Budget.
  • Manage and administer all aspects of in-country Contract implementation, including the
  • preparation and negotiation of annual work plans and clearances, approvals and notifications with USAID.
  • Prepares and submit various financial reports as required by the contract in collaboration with the home office Project Team.
  • Ensure that all policies and procedures are followed, and comply with periodic reporting requirements; ensure all USAID regulations/standards on travel, personnel, procurement, financial administration, etc. are adhered to.
Person Profile
  • Masters degree in accounting, finance, economics or related field plus full CPA (K).
  • Minimum ten (1 0) years experience at the supervisory/management level of multiple projects.
  • Thorough knowledge of USAID policies, procedures, procurement practices, rules, regulations, and reporting requirements.
  • Knowledge of smallholder agriculture, agribusiness and or rural enterprise is also desired.
  • Prior work experience and strong knowledge of QuickBooks accounting software program.
Accountant & Admin Officer

Job Profile
  • Record cash disbursements and receipts, and journal entries in QuickBooks accounting software, based on proper documentation.
  • Backup the accounting data files and send copies of the data files to the main office.
  • Ensures that staff is sufficiently trained in implementing and complying with financial and administrative procedures to ensure compliance with the organization financial management policies and USAID regulations.
  • Performs administrative activities.
Person Profile
  • Degree in accounting, finance, economics or related field; CPA (K) preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years experience with USAID funded projects.
  • Demonstrated experience with computerized accounting software and Excel spreadsheets. Quick Books knowledge a plus.
  • Working with an international NGO will be an added advantage.
