Fashion Designer Job in Kenya

An Advertising Industry, producing promotional material is looking for a Fashion Designer.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Develop and create new designs for clothing range and accessories
• Sketch rough and detailed drawings of accessories and write specifications such as colour schemes, material type, and accessory requirements
• Work with tailors and other workers to convert designs into concrete samples
• Develop a group of products and/or accessories
• Identify target markets for designs
• Select materials and production techniques to be used for products
• Guide and direct workers involved in drawing and cutting patterns and making the garments/accessories
• Pilot test samples
• Possibly get involved in marketing the designs

Required skills and qualifications:

• Diploma or a degree in fashion and design from a reputable organization
• Minimum 2 years experience in a fashion and design environment
• Experience in a Manufacturing set up will be an added advantage
• Excellent skills in Design
• Ability to work under minimum supervision
• Must be creative and innovative
• Must be fast and accurate
• Must have a portfolio/samples of previous work
