Pact, Inc. Kenya is a
International NGO which enables systematic solutions that allow those who are
poor and marginalized to earn a dignified living, be healthy and take part in
the benefits that nature provides.
Pact accomplishes this by strengthening local capacity, forging effective
governance systems and transforming markets into a force for development.
The Fanikisha Project is a new 5-year Institutional Strengthening Project to be
funded by USAID. Pact will be implementing this project jointly with Management
Sciences for Health (MSH), Danya International and Regional AIDS Training
Network.
The project will seek to strengthen the technical and institutional capacity of
national Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) in Kenya to enable them to be
responsive to the health sector needs and well being of Kenyans.
This project will also strengthen the national level Kenyan NGOs, CSOs and / or
CSO networks to provide national level advocacy for inclusion of CSOs in policy
making and strategy development for increased health service delivery to the
communities.
Pact is seeking individuals to fill in the following
positions:
CSO Advocacy Technical Advisor: Will play a key role in strengthening Kenyan civil
society in the health sector by strengthening health advocacy skills and
capacities.
S/he will be responsible for strengthening CSO leadership role in advocacy at
the national policy and strategy development level. The Advocacy Advisor will
support the development of CSO advocacy plans, mentor advocacy staff at CSO
level and work to link organizations for stronger CSO advocacy networks.
Institutional Strengthening Advisor: Will lead in the provision of organizational
capacity development support and coordinate all technical assistance provided
to designated CSO organizations.
S/he collaborates on establishing an effective technical exchange and support
network among service provision partners and institutions, including
international and local NGOs and FBOs.
