KIMAWASCO Finance Manager and Chief Accountant Jobs in Kenya

Kilifi - Mariakani Water & Sewerage Company Ltd.is seeking to recruit suitably qualified persons to fill the following senior positions in its establishment.

Job: Finance Manager

Reporting to the Managing Director-the successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Establishing financial and management systems for the efficient implementation of company goals and policies.
• Ensuring efficient revenue collection, disbursements, accounting and reporting.
• Preparing budgets and periodic financial performance reports for the Board of Directors consideration.
• Ensuring compliance to International Financial standards on financial reporting by the company.
• Continually reviewing and upgrading accounting systems and procedures in line with the company operating systems and internal control requirements.
• Ensuring timely and accurate preparation of financial reports and audits.
• Carry out any other functions relating to the financial management as may be assigned by the Managing Director from time to time.

The Ideal candidate should have:-

• A certified Public Accountant (CPA-K) with Bachelors Degree in Accountancy
• Minimum three years working experience in financial matters of water & sewerage facility of which 2 years should have been in a senior management position and demonstrate ability on innovativeness.
• Demonstrate ability to consistently meet strict deadlines is mandatory.
• Aged between 30-40 years.

Chief Accountant

Reporting to the Finance Manager-the successful candidate will be responsible for:-

• Ensuring revenue is timely and efficiently collected.
• Preparation of timely financial reports.
• Ensuring timely reconciliation of bank accounts.
• Ensuring timely preparation of management accounts.
• Review of payments authorization vouchers, back-ups for invoices.
• Preparation of journal entries.
• Perform any duties as may be allocated by the finance Manager.

The ideal candidate should have:-

• A certified Public accountant (CPA-K)
• Minimum five years working experience in finance matters of water and sewerage facilities.
• Demonstrate ability to work under minimum or no supervision
• Aged between 30 and 40 years
