National Environment Trust Fund was established to mobilize, manage and avail resources for environment management as well as facilitate research; publications, capacity building and awards that promote innovative and sustainable environmental management and are seeking to feel the following positions.

1. Director Resource Mobilization

This position is responsible to the Chief Executive Officer for designing and implementing resources mobilization initiatives directed at various external public, in line with established policies and practices.

In addition to taking the lead in the communication function for NETFUND, this post is responsible for providing technical support to the Chief Executive Officer in resources mobilization.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Applicants must have a Masters degree in Social science or related field
  • Post Graduate training in fundraising.
  • Membership of a relevant professional body.
  • Over eight (8) years relevant experience gained from organizations directly involved in resource mobilization.
Key Competencies

The applicant should have experience in working with corporate, bilateral, multilateral funding agencies, and familiarity with private foundations, experience in working with different fundraising tools and methods, proven negotiation, strategic planning and execution skills, strong writing and oral skills, excellent leadership, interpersonal, communication and facilitation skills, sound project development, budgeting and financial acumen and attention to detail and ability to critique proposals.

2. Resource Mobilization Manager

This position is responsible to the Director of Resource Mobilization for providing technical support in designing and implementing resources mobilization initiatives as directed.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Masters degree in Communications or related fields
  • Post graduate training in fundraising
  • Membership to a relevant professional body
  • Over six (6) years experience gained specializing in resources mobilization
Key Competencies

The applicant should have confident, articulate, competent proposal and report writing skills,

He/she must demonstrate ability to network and effectively connect with partners and have good communication, interpersonal skills and strong leadership skills.

3. Accountant

This position is responsible to the Director of Human Resource, Finance and Administration for reporting on financial issues and implementing of financial plans and strategies.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Commerce, Business Administration, Economics, Finance or a related field.
  • Partial professional qualifications such as CPA, ACA, ACCA, ACMA or equivalent membership to a relevant professional body.
  • Minimum Five (5) years experience in a relevant financial organization focusing on financial management of organizational resources.
Key Competencies

The applicant should have knowledge of accounting and budgeting principles and practices; financial and strategic planning, banking, accounting and financial management including planning, forecasting, budgeting and taxation, knowledge of principles, methods and practices of governmental accounting, budgeting, effective communication and interpersonal skills, gather and analyze information skillfully, ability to maintain professional status, high integrity and keep abreast of evolving trends in financial management of organizational resources through continuing professional development, proficiency in computer applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Outlook express including financial and statistical packages and knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services.

4. Administrative Assistant

Responsible to the Human Resource and Administration Officer for providing effective administrative support and performing routine administrative functions such as writing reports, drafting correspondence, scheduling appointments, organizing and maintaining files, retrieving documents as well as synchronizing and updating the office diary.

In addition oversees stores management and transport logistics.

Minimum Qualification
  • A diploma in Business Administration
  • Qualification in store and supplies management
  • At least two (2) years relevant experience
Key Competencies

The applicant should have considerable knowledge of office procedures and secretarial practices, including organization, planning, records management, and general administrative skills, effective communication and interpersonal skills with an attention to detail, including strong report writing, proofreading and editing skills, considerable tact and poise including excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with people from diverse backgrounds, ability to maintain excellent public relations through courteous responses to inquiries and provide information within scope of responsibility and ability to perform a variety of important sometimes urgent, confidential, and complex tasks with constantly changing priorities for top executives and senior management staff.

5. Driver

This position is responsible to the Administrative Assistant for operating and maintaining organizational motor vehicles in accordance with approved policies and procedures. Under general supervision interprets verbal or written instructions to drive the motor vehicle in order to transport staff members and official visitors to designated locations.

Minimum Qualification
  • Must be in possession of Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (“O” Level) with a pass in English and Kiswahili Languages
  • Driving License Class B, C, E without any endorsements including Trade Test Grade III Certificate in motor-vehicle maintenance
  • Minimum two (2) years relevant driving experience
  • First Aid certificate.
Key Competencies

The applicant should have ability to follow detailed oral and written instructions, knowledge of transport routes in both urban and rural areas in the country and ability to interpret road maps and rough hand drawn sketches, ability to interpret and comply with safety codes, traffic rules, regulations, and safe operating practices, ability to perform safety inspections, recognize and report mechanical problems, perform preventive maintenance check and ability to meet time schedules and deadlines and complete tasks without jeopardizing safety or integrity of work.
