Partner Associate

x 2 (Nairobi & Kisumu)

Purpose:
To build the capacity of local implementing partners (LIPs) to effectively deliver the Kenya Mentor Mother Program (KMMP) according to national guidelines. Each position works in close collaboration with key m2m and MOH colleagues. The positions report to the Senior Program Manager and are based in Nairobi and Kisumu respectively.

Key Areas of Responsibility:
  • Support senior staff to select LIPs for engagement and facilitate initial orientations
  • Support the development of m2m’s capacity building program for LIPs, including defining objectives and developing program resource materials
  • Coordinate LIP engagement at the regional level and engage programmatic staff within each LIP organization, building effective relationships and cultivating commitment
  • Conduct external assessments of LIPs in relation to defined national guidelines
  • Develop workplans for services to be delivered to each LIP
  • Facilitate training to LIPs on standardized content
  • Provide ongoing tailored support to LIPs aligned to identified support needs
  • Draw on m2m service delivery at model sites to capacitate LIPs, in partnership with the Regional Manager
  • Continuously evaluate the effectiveness of capacity building interventions and promote program quality
  • Gather and disseminate lessons learned and best practices, and contribute to report writing for donors and other key stakeholders
  • Participate in the m2m Kenya extended management team, reflect on program progress and make recommendations for improvement
  • Ensure accurate and timely communication with LIP staff, key stakeholders, the Senior Program Manager and m2m headquarters in Cape Town, South Africa
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the Senior Program Manager
Qualifications and Experience Required:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in public health or a related field; relevant Master’s degree an advantage
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in public health program management
  • Direct experience managing a PMTCT peer education and psychosocial support program (with m2m or elsewhere)
  • Experience with managing USG-funded health programs a distinct advantage

  • Proven abilities in project design, management and evaluation
  • Ability to lead, inspire and motivate others
  • Demonstrated ability to think critically and creatively and to facilitate collective problem-solving
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to develop and maintain relationships at multiple levels

Safaricom Principal Enterprise Systems Support Analyst Job in Kenya

Reporting to the Senior Manager - Enterprise Systems Support (ESS), the job holders’ role will be to provide technical leadership and support on all key reporting and analysis systems including but not limited to Oracle BI, informatica, fraud Management system, Revenue Management systems and Partner Relation management systems.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Support
  • Applying data mining algorithms, writing queries, and designing reports.
  • Aggregating data from multiple sources in an efficient data warehouse and designing enterprise-level solutions for very large multidimensional databases.
  • Proactively analyze performance data to identify immediate and long term improvement opportunities within the Systems.
  • Participate in the design and high level modelling of Enterprise systems.
  • Manage problem and incident resolutions in liaison with technical and operations departments.
  • Research on new trends on systems and advice the business on the best fit models.
Leadership
  • Inspire, up skill and grow junior analysts in the team.
  • Advice Management on resourcing needs, work structure and best fit for support.
Business Support
  • Work collaboratively with users in relevant business units to understand and define relevant reports and dashboards.
  • Define user objectives and goals and design and lead program strategy based on nature of data, processes and needs.
  • Liaise with all business support units including, Third party developers and Core networks design and Support teams to support the growth and sustainability.
Systems Support
  • Troubleshoot technical and non-technical challenges.
  • Manage system capacity and anticipate user demands on resources.
  • Work closely with the third party development teams to ensure that the requirements as documented are clearly understood and consult with the developers teams to validate design assumptions.
  • Ensure that recommended solutions are not sub-optimal, but fit within the overall information management structure of the enterprise.
Minimum Qualifications & Competencies required
  • 5 + years experience with system analysis, data analysis, ERP systems, relational database, data warehouse, and OLAP and programming preferably in PLSQL, Perl, and MSSQL;
  • A degree in IT, Mathematics or Engineering (Telecommunications or Electrical & Electronic). Intermediate Unix Certification required;
  • Certification in Database Administration (Preferably Oracle and MS SQL) will be an added advantage; expertise in relational and multidimensional database schemas is a must;
  • 5+ Years experience with Knowledge of Mobile Network core network systems, Short Message Service Centre (SMSC), routing, Mediation and Intelligent Networks is an added advantage;
  • Excellent skills demonstrating high proficiency in situational analysis;
  • A team player with ability to lead teams of people with varied technical skills ;
  • Strong administrative skills with a flair for technological enhancements to transactional processing;
  • Experience in people management and team leadership;
  • Good negotiation skills, be commercially savvy & aware;
  • Ability to develop & maintain effective relationships which yield results;
  • Good Knowledge of trends, principles and practices of Business Intelligence systems;
  • Have excellent communication skills with exceptional interpersonal and report writing skills;
  • Be highly innovative and creative with excellent analytical and decision making skills.
