Quality Manager - AMO

The position is open to qualified candidates and the profile is as outlined below.

Position Scope:

Reports to the Director of Quality Assurance

Core Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Evaluation, through the Quality Audit program of contracted agencies utilized by the company for material purchases, repair, overhaul and other maintenance are appropriately and qualified.
  • To ensure that an audit control system is maintained for the inspection and calibration of precision tools and test equipment.
  • To ensure that the annual audit plan is carried out.
  • To monitor qualification, delegation, authority and designation of inspection and maintenance certifying personnel and their records.
  • To monitor the maintenance, Certifying staff, and non-certifying staff training programs and training schedule.
  • To advice and discuss with the Base Maintenance Manager and Quality Control Manager on all aspects of training for both the maintenance certifying staff and noncertifying staff.
Duties are:
  • Developing and performing evaluations, audits and inspections as a part of the Quality Audit program. Identifying and recording any findings or concerns resulting from audits, collecting the evidence necessary to substantiate findings or concerns and initiating, recommending, or providing solutions to problems.
  • Verifying the implementation of solutions.
  • Develop, maintain and administer a comprehensive system for the training records of maintenance inspection personnel.
  • Monitor and ensure that all training programs are approved for all maintenance certifying and non-certifying personnel.
  • Coordinating Internal Evaluation Program activities and Airworthiness matters with KCAA personnel.
  • Auditing and evaluating all company manuals.
  • Any other duties arising from the Director of Quality Assurance office
Qualifications & Competencies:
  • Be a licensed maintenance Engineer with appropriate airframe and Engine or Avionics ratings
  • Have at least five (5) years experience in the field of maintenance and
  • Have attended quality Management course recognized by the authority.
  • Management training courses.
