International Medical Corps is a global, humanitarian, nonprofit organization dedicated to saving lives and relieving suffering through health care training and relief and development programs. 

Established in 1984 by volunteer doctors and nurses, International Medical Corps is a private, voluntary, nonpolitical, nonsectarian organization. Its mission is to improve the quality of life through health interventions and related activities that build local capacity in underserved communities worldwide. 

By offering training and health care to local populations and medical assistance to people at highest risk, and with the flexibility to respond rapidly to emergency situations, International Medical Corps rehabilitates devastated health care systems and helps bring them back to self-reliance. 

International Medical Corps is seeking candidates to fill the position of Monitoring & Evaluation Officer.
 
Duties and Responsibilities:-
  • Lead in undertaking Nutrition surveys and assessments;
  • Develop Monitoring and evaluation plans for nutrition and
  • Support field teams in compiling the progress and impact assessment reports;
  • Review and prepare final reports in conjunction with the field teams and the technical advisers at the HQ and ensure timely submission of the report to the donor and other relevant stakeholders;
  • Represent the organization in M & E related Forums or other meetings as may be required by the supervisor;
  • Ensure that relevant skills and knowledge on M & E are transferred to the implementing field teams;
  • In Liaison with the field teams, hold regular review meetings to assess the progress against the set targets and advice the supervisor and the management with recommendations;
  • Supervise Field based M&E Officers and guide in the preparation of the work plans, and implementation of field program activities
  • Liaising with the DHRIOs to ensure data is reported in DHIS2 monthly
  • Any other duty as may be assigned by the Supervisor.
Qualifications and Skills:-
  • Strong back ground in community nutrition with a minimum of 2 years of assessment;
  • Minimum academic qualification of a Degree in Public Health or any health related field with specialization in M & E or advanced training in M & E. Masters in a similar field is an added advantage;
  • Experienced in representing former/current organization an national and regional level;
  • Excellent team building/working skills, strong personal and interpersonal skills with demonstrated leadership and supervisory excellence;
  • Strong Analytical skills and prowess in SMART, ENA, EPI info, SPSS, SQUEAC/SLEAC, LQAS, etc;
  • Good field work skills with good understanding of project area
  • Results oriented
  • Candidate’s ability to take up position within two weeks.
