Site Manager

Reporting to the General Manager.

Job Profile

The incumbent is overall responsible for the planning and control of all matters relating to the operations of the site works.

• Ability to prepare base of roads, street in accordance with laid down quality standards.
• Good maintenance and housekeeping of vehicle and equipment.
• Daily completion of trip reports, vehicle travel log.
• Ordering of raw materials.
• Ensuring that health, safety and environmental standards are maintained.
• Conducting of routine site inspection.
• Timely taking and balancing of month end inventories, ensuring the adherence to laid down deadlines.

Person Profile

• Tertiary qualification in Construction / Civil Engineering.
• Previous relevant experience / knowledge of bituminous products.
• Road construction experience.
• Previous experience in operational management in a related environment.

Slurry Seal Truck Operator

 
Job Ref. MN 5570
Reporting to the Site Manager.

Job Profile

• Driving of vehicles on site in accordance with laid down quality standards, to obtain correct Slurry/Ralumac/Spray application rates.
• Apply product at specified application rate.
• Maintain constant vehicle speed to ensure correct application rate.
• Good maintenance and housekeeping of vehicle and equipment.
• Daily vehicle checks and services as per laid down standards.
• Minor maintenance and repairs to vehicle and equipment e.g. weekly.
• Take samples as requested and submit to laboratory for testing.
• Loading and off-loading of vehicles in accordance with laid down standards.
• Ensuring adherence to safety regulations and company policies.
• Safe driving of vehicle roads, obeying all road and traffic regulations.

Person Profile

• Metric or equivalent experience.
• Previous experience in heavy duty long distance hauler driving.
• Good literacy and numeracy skills.
• Valid driving licence.
• Must have a pleasant character and able to build relationships easily.
